Gorgeous book, with loads of beautiful teacosies to knit! Many are very intricate and fiddly, so suitable for advanced knitters, but I did try to knit the chicken teacosy- Desiree. The instructions for the looping were slightly confusing as they said " loop" on the odd numbered rows, then it changed to loop on even rows, which would have meant loops would be on the back of the work. This happened twice. Her looping instructions were also difficult to follow so had to look on YouTube. However, overall, a lovely book!
I think I love this author. This is my second book that I've read of hers and I have the rest on interlibrary request. I won't make any of these lovely tea cosies—I don't drink tea or coffee—but I admire the author's creativity and humorous writing style. There are also directions for a couple accessories and directions for weaving, loop knitting, and other essentials to create these cosies. I do have the Double Knit Neck Warmer with Woven Windows on my to-do list! I just wish she would do a book on sweaters she designed! THAT would be amazing, as well!!!
On a dull and dreary winter’s afternoon, a Sunday in Melbourne, I was fortunate enough to pick up Pretty Funny Tea Cosies (& other beautiful knitted things) to review. What a beautiful burst of colour, as I flicked through this book!
