Wordy to the point of reader fatigue. Crossing Eden, one has to wonder, was the book edited? Descriptions appear homogeneous, just reworked to fit various scenes. I make it a point to complete books, even when they constituted a poor choice. Crossing Eden came close to doing away with this ethic.
