Friday, 4 November 2016 Review of Adhira by Aditti

Adhira: Love Lost & Found Adhira: Love Lost & Found by Aditti Gaur My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Adhira by Aditti Gaur (one t more maybe numerology), I give this book four stars. Thank you Tushti Bhatia and author for providing me a review copy.

Adhira gives us a glimpse of how an independent woman reacts when life throws complex situations at her. The pace of book is very slow. But it is an interesting read. Aditti has a very deep understanding of women’s emotions. Adhira is very emphatic and compassionate.

Long distance marriages are a difficult thing to maintain and responsibility of women like explained below: “In this patriarchal society, no matter how successful a woman became, her real worth is measured based on how successful she was in handling her marriage, children, husband and other relationships”.

The love hate kinda relationship between Adhira and her friends can be visualised by the lines author mentioned: “Sometimes, you faked anger toward your loved ones for some time but once they start talking, every strand of anger melts away”.

At the same time author describes another couples story which is going through the tough phase of life.

It is also about the apprehensions of a girl who is about to enter in a love marriage are beautifully explained through “(I am) scared of losing my freedom after marriage. Scared to think about the upcoming changes that will happen in my life. I have to leave everyone behind, my papa- who is everything to me, my house- which comforts me throughout my life, my friends- who are more than family to me, and most importantly my surname- which is my identity.”

This and many more pearls of wisdom are there in the book. I feel Aditti is spot on in bringing out the emotions of the female characters of the book. The book has mention of Meerut and it being my home town I have special place for that place in my heart. It made me nostalgic.

There are some issues too. Pace of book is very slow especially the first half. The book is very predictable and nothing surprising ever happens. Love track of Adhira with so many people is another sore point. Either she is willingly ignoring all her lovers or she is a fool not to see. If someone loves a woman and is with you for a long time it is impossible she will not see that. Moreover, she is shown as very emphatic and emotional. The main angle is not explored adequately.

I admired the depth with which Aditti knows the emotions of human beings. This is a very mature book and maybe some younger audience might not like it. It will definitely strike a chord amongst married couples. After a decade of marriage some monotony sets in and the romance goes out of window. Marriage is not a bed of roses and with it brings a lot of responsibilities. Before marriage you are a free bird without a worry and answerable to none. When you marry you just don’t marry a person but marry a whole family. Then comes the kids and daily chores. It takes a lot of maturity, time and effort to keep the flame of romance burning. It all boils down to your values and upbringing how you manage the situation. Aditti brought out these facets of marriage beautifully. I liked the book a lot. Kudos to author to write such a value based, mature, compassionate and romantic book.

What will you choose from life or death when you have the choice to take one ?
And who would u give prefernce to: yourself, your family or you friends..?

The story is narrated by adhira's doctor friend ridhi.. the story revolves around the girl adhira who is suffering from bone marrow aplasia and has only 8 months to survive..though she is married to akshit from the last 5 years but she prefers to live alone. Blessed with a beautiful gang of best friends consists of 4 amazing people ' siddhartha, priya, shikhar and anirudh' ..
Adhira is a person who achieved everything she wanted and made sure that she gives a way to those people who wandered away from their path and no opportunity through her studio.. you will eventually meet some really great characters like stephy, shikhar .. who all are they? And what changes did they bring in her life ? What happens next? What happened to adhira? Did she survived? What about ridhi? Will adhira get her love back? Is it the end of her love story or starting or a pit-stop?
To know the answers of these questions, come and sit back on the roller coaster and gear up for the ride and hold adhira in your hand and start reading...

Strength :
The whole novel is narrated by the third person, unique and a very amazing manner to present a book..
Story has been written step to step to maintain a flow which again will hook the readers up to the story till the end..
This novel is totally women centric and the pains and woes have been scripted amazingly, keeping all the struggles of the lady's life perfectly..
Great and high values and we can say importance to every character is given specifically and the author will teach you to take things calmly and to tackle every condition very smartly and patiently..

Weakness : the beginning is quite slow and boring, and the ending could have been much better.. you will find lack of editing and proofreading ( but these things don't count in the mistakes of authors, editors kindly look into this ).. again platform is not that much strong and could have been much more impressive..book cover just don't match with the story and these mistakes form a part of publisher's mistakes..

Conclusion :
An amazing book, uniquely narrated..this book will be loved by the readers for the extraordinary narration and coz of a new story writeup..i loved the way aditti gaur has expressed her emotions ..
Die hard love story lovers just grab this book, coz this book will live upto your expectations and will help you to learn to rise up from adverse conditions and stand firm.!!

Writeup : 3.5/5
Editing : 1/5
Proodreading : 1.5/5
Cover page : 1.5/5

Adhira is an independent young lady. Her ‘beauty’ is too short to express by just nine letter word “BEAUTIFUL”. She is the jewel which brightens diamond. She is the blossom which fragrances jasmine. Her sparkling eyes and her enigmatic smile lit up night. By profession, she was owner of musical studio-Rhythm. She never wasted a single second of her life by taking rest. She is always ready to sacrifice anything for the sake of others happiness. She had a close friend, Shekhar who understood Adhira completely. Language was not their means of communication, but eyes were the means of communication between them. She was completely in love with Shekhar’s mesmerising voice. There were lots of crazy fans of Shekhar. She had an ex-boyfriend who has cheated her but she was so strong that she moved on. When she was heart-broken, Varun, Adhira’s friend stood by her. Latter they were married but ‘a sense of magic’ was missing between them. Varun, a doctor, used to live abroad. They were married but hardly had they spent quality time together. Adhira’s honesty and sacrifice made others believe in ‘long-distance relationship’. Though they were far from each other but they were together from heart. Unfortunately life threw storm over her. She came to know that she was suffering from bone marrow aplasia and has only few months left for her. After few months, everything changed.Varun became so busy that Adhira use to feel incomplete and lonely. She felt something she was losing but didn’t knew what she was it. In the meantime, Riddhi, Adhira’s best friend decided to marry Siddhartha, Adhira’s brother cum friend. All the close friends were once again re-united. Shekhar was secretly in love with Adhira. Though he knew that Adhira was married but still Shekhar waits for Adhira. What will Adhira do now? Will she divorce Varun? Or she will ignore Shekhar? Is Adhira just merely a fan of Shekhar? Will love happen thrice?
I would recommend to travel Adhira’s life. Adhira’s life is an inspiration to those heartbroken people who thinks that ‘life is nothing but an empty dream’. Her struggle, her positive attitude, her self-confidence throws light to those hopeless lover who has lost all their path of their lives. Through Adhira’s story, it inspires us to life our life to fullest at any cost. It is quite easy to give up than to struggle. In the field of life’s battle, honesty is the key to win over goals. To live with dignity is what Adhira teaches us. What one goes away , we need to let it go .

Adhira (Love :- Lost & Found)
Written By Aditti Gaur

Quote For the book :-Life is not always a bed of roses nor a bed of thorns, its a bed of roses filled with thorns.

Sometimes the strongest people are the ones who love beyond all faults, Cry Behind closed doors and fight battles that Nobody Knows about. This Book uncovers Adhira's "bold and beautiful "trait to Riddhi's Selfless buddy-ship, from Akshit's "faded love" to Shikhar's "unconditional affection" , From Siddharth's "obedient bro" aspect to Abhi's strange & mature friendship, from Sanchit's beautiful designs to Neeti's flawless managing skills, from the musical touch to the magical romance, from the tedious Gurgaon to Manali's trance, From the emotional & physical pain to the craziness of "Royal Wedding"..this book is a rhythmic ride.

This book-ride of Adhira's life is driven by Riddhi who is her best friend and her soul sister in the truest sense .This story keeps revolving around "Adhira" a strong women who has lived her life like A free bird, She was a guardian angel for her near dear ones, she has a magic wand to spread happiness in her surroundings, she was a solider fighting her inner turmoils, she was Adhi for her buddies & Ada For "Him".
Her life was just perfect until "Destiny" played its card turning her world upside down , so will she be able to cross this dark tunnel of life ?

Wow and Oops Of the book :-

⭐️ Narration :- Aditti's narrative skills are quite unique and fresh but when a third person is narrating the story somewhere it becomes a bit confusing as we have to mould our perception totally (like Every "I" used in the story is for the third person not for the main protagonist which tends to it a bit chaotic)

⭐️ Content :- Language used was simple and understandable but there were printing & grammatical errors at some places. This book says love lost and found which is very true Love was actually lost as the protagonist was busy with her "social services",which forced the "romance" to take a back seat.

⭐️Characters :- Adhira's character was well-crafted but some characters & scenes were off-base (Like Pranay what was he doing after Akshit left ?, Why was Rati & Gunjan introduced..?)

Fresh Narration, Beautiful location, Royal Filmy Wedding, Unexpected twist, Blend of maturity and craziness pretty much sum up this book.

Rating :- 3.5/5

I saw the title and the first thing I noticed were the words 'Love: lost and found.' I was immediately prepared to drag myself and sleep through yet another clichéd romance from an Indian author. Yes, I am not a fan of romance novels by Indian authors.

But Adhira by Aditti Gaur caught me completely by surprise. For one thing, I completely fell in love with the way she wrote. There are very few books by Indian authors that have actually triggered emotions in me, and right now, Adhira is on top of that list. There is a particular romantic scenario in the book, which almost made it feel like I was in love. That was how real her writing was. Also, this isn't just another love story. It is more about friendship, family and relationships that are deeper than those which are blood bound. Most simply put, Adhira is a story on life.

As the title suggests, the book is about Adhira, one of that rare kind of people who is the problem solver, the go-to-person in any crisis, the happy soul and one who always put other's happiness in front of their own. The moment you become familiar with the characterisation of Adhira, you can immediately identify with her. She could be you, your best friend or someone else. You have at least once in life come across an Adhira.

I loved this book! It doesn't exactly tell an extraordinary tale. I loved it mostly cause of its simplicity, and especially the author's writing style. The best part about this book is that it keeps the reader guessing. There are lots of things happening, there are a number of characters and as a reader, you can't exactly predict where the story is going. And the author has done a marvellous job of keeping the reader engaged till the very end. The story is so real that you can imagine everything happening as soon as you start reading and cannot exactly put it down until finished.

What I didn't like in the book was that at times it felt too rushed. The author was jumping from one thing to the other that it felt a little chaotic and more than once I lost my whereabouts in the story. Also, I felt like the ending could have been better. There is a second part to this, so the author left the story in the middle. It's very common for novels that have a sequel. But for me, it was almost as if she ended it mid sentence. I feel that it would have been a lot better if she had ended the book with a major cliffhanger. That said, I still can't wait for the sequel. Also, the book needs some heavy editing. The grammatical errors and spelling mistakes are a little too much.

Adhira is one of those books which you can pick up on a beautiful morning, indulge in some coffee and just sit back, relax and read. I really recommend it to anyone looking for a light read.

Strength Of The Book:
Narration is done by first person for third person, lead character of the story. It is one of the unique ways to present a book. Lovely love story embedded this book is narrated beautifully about the struggle of a lady who is in the last days of her life. Novel motivates readers to abreast the worst and take things calmly in each condition. Central character is depicted well throughout the story and also equal value is given to each character. Dilemma of true love remains till end. Each thing is beautifully written very step by step to maintain a flow.

Weakness of the book:
Beginning of the book is really weak and is not able grab the attention of readers in starting chapters. Story surrounds with multiple characters together which create a confusion in readers’ mind. Platform is not that much strong. Book lacks literature. To aggrandize the narration Hindi songs are written which somehow leave negative impact. Ending could be more impressive.

Conclusion:
With the unique and different way of narration, this book stands better to be loved by readers. Cover page doesn’t suit to narration. Emotions are beautifully expressed throughout the book. With little weak ending, this book makes reader a bit disappoint but leaves them with a smile. This is the best crisp for those who die for different love stories.

Adhira—Love: Lost And Found is a book by Aditti Gaur, is a contemporary fiction that deals with relationships and their value in one’s life. It’s a story of friendship, siblingship, love, romance, estrangement, loneliness, wait and patience and, life and death.

Adhira, a strong and brave girl, whose life was all devoted to work and bringing happiness to others, let it be by giving her ice cream off to random unknown school children and bringing smile to their faces or by doing special things to keep her friends happy or even by being a not-at-all demanding wife.

The story has in it, the elements that tell you how a relation can go wrong just because of a small yarn left unnoticed while weaving a fabric and how that ignored enweaved yarn can ruin the whole fabric.
The story beautifully shows the importance of the not-so important colourful yarns that if put together at the right place can build a masterpiece called love instead of just a material of need.

Weaved in the beautiful and calming surroundings of Manali and the stunningness of a grand Royal Theme Wedding, the story goes at a very deep length to realise the values and effects of the relationships that we sail on in our lives. It’s a story about friendship at its truest form, the different kinds of relations. It’s a story of falling in love when least expected, then loosing it at a time when it is much needed and then again finding it at a time much unexpected. It’s the story of a brave girl fighting with death. It’s the story of hope at the face of adversity and standing tall all alone in front of loneliness and death.

As Francis Bacon says,"Some book are to be TASTED, others are to be SWALLOWED, and some few to be CHEWED and DIGESTED that is, some book are to be READ ONLY IN PARTS, others to be READ, but not curiously and some few to be READ WHOLLY, and with DILIGENCE AND ATTENTION." Similarly, Aditti Gaur's Adhira is one such book which can be read thoroughly with diligence and attention as it offers a whole set of emotions that are imbibed in the characters by the author.

Cover- The cover is fascinating and the way the white colour is used with those cute pictorial messages gives us a glimpse of the story. It can be said that it looks really cute with those white snowfall atmosphere.

Title- The title in itself is unique and intriguing. It binds the readers with the story. One can feel connected to the story till the end.

Plot- The plot is constructed in an artistic manner. The story is about Adhira who is an independent woman and struggles to find one reason for her living. In this course she comes across many old and new people which affects her life in a different way.

Characterisation- The author has beautifully portrayed all the characters be it Adhira, Riddhi, Shekhar or the other characters. All play a vital role in the plot construction. There are too many characters in the book but not a second one feels that the characters are not given much importance. The characterisation is well justified.

Style- The book is written in third person narrative with impresonal descriptions. The use of epistolary style with blend of poetic aura adds flavour to the book. The way the lyrics are written and sung in the book are impeccable. Not only this, the quotes in between the chapters were really matching and inspiring. Furthermore, the concepts of wedding, relationships, independence are the main themes which have been amazingly delineated.

The story is about an independent woman, Adhira, who is struggling in her life. Her doctor friend Riddhi, is a blessing in disguise. The details and specificity of every character are beautiful. The particular character of Riddhi is admirable. Every character is significant and their portrayal is done effectively.

The plot is knitted well and the tragedies in Adhira’s life are connecting. The narration part is done via 3rd person and feels quite good reading the story. It was refreshing.

The book deals with human life’s occasions like marriage, relationships, and other unsorted feelings. The reality touch in the story and the wisdom/thought provoking lines it ignites are intriguing.

The title “Adhira: Love- lost and found” is quite relatable to the tragic yet beautiful tale of Adhira, a fighting independent woman. The animated cover is designed well.

Overall, it’s an interesting and connecting novel that one shouldn’t miss.

“Adhira” – the name itself provides some goosebumps. By checking its meaning on Google, I found Adhira means Lightning (Strong Female) and as per tradition this word is commonly used for naming Hindu girls. Just like the book title, the girl Adhira (Protagonist of the story) is a strong independent woman who being married since last 5 years, works for her own. The story mainly revolves around her. Apart from the main plot, there is a sub plot which tells us the story of Riddhi (Adhira’s best friend cum soul sister)

Overall a good novel to read and know about different kind of people living together. You can find most of it here. It has all the drama, love, romance one expects. So I think it won't upset rom-com readers and would be a good one over a cup of tea.

Saga of Adhira

Adhira "Independent women". That's what the story tell us about. Perfectly wrapped with typical situations of bundles of problems, how she let herself sound different is all what the story is about. A perfect book for the people of 21st century, to boost them, to make them understand, no matters what, we can be I and can achieve anything.

Cover : A perfect theme with pairs of Love in the heaven. It seems like, blessing is pondering over them. It really attracted me to the core.

Title : Adhira "Love. lost and found", is just not a title in itself at all. It holds a beautiful message for the readers from the very beginning to the end.

Plot : Being all alone in this world, where millions or billions live their life, Adhira manages out to shine, putting aside all the problems she had on her way to her life.

'Adhira' is not a book at all in itself, its a saga of love, friendship, passion, and true happenings. It's a book with bunch of goodies wrapped inside.

Role Play : Adhira, Riddhi, Shekhar and the else characters. All these characters are beautifully narrated and their roles are portrayed well according to the flow of the story.

The book is written in third person narrative with impersonal descriptions. The way the lyrics and quotes are written and sung in the book, were really matching and inspiring.

Easy to read
Story revolves around a girl who is dealing with her own issues but still comes out to be a strong woman. Handling everything in a mature way but didn’t like the plot as either it was too long or too short in few places everything was over explained. Which was quite boring.

BOOK REVIEW-

“We're born alone, we live alone, and we die alone. Only through our love and friendship can we create the illusion for the moment that we're not alone.”
The cover of the book explains a lot. The thought process which is revealed through the cover is brilliant. The entire atmosphere of snowfall, snow drenched mountains along with the little clouds which features their thought is very sweet.

Before beginning with the story, I wondered why the title is named Adhira.
So, Adhira is a Hindu girl name which means Lightning to be precise. Lightning is a term which we usually associate with something drastic. Or maybe something which happens suddenly like an apocalypse.
Adhira is someone, who all her life, has put the dreams of others' ahead of her own. She is strong and independent yet fragile somehow. She is a successful woman who has achieved great heights in her life all by herself. But still, she pulled her feet back when love bloomed in her life again instead of indulging into HIS life. So, I found the title fantastic and it appropriately suits the plot.
We have a very emotional ride throughout the entire story as Riddhi, doctor cum friend of Adhira starts narrating the story. Adhira is suffering from a disease in which the bone marrow greatly decreases or stops the production of blood cells. So, you can understand, her life is at stake. The characterizations of each and every individual are perfectly timed making it more dramatic.

This thriller is filled with question marks on each and every page. The plot, sub plots, characters’, screenplay everything is what we call ADHIRA or LIGHTNING.
Not only thriller, as we know Adhira to be. It has tinges of Romanticism too.
If I quote, “Adhira held Shekhar’s waist tightly and he felt trembling. Shekhar pulled her closer.
That was the first kiss of their love story...Till date.”
I loved the way the plot ended.

Everything was the same, still new totally. But the only difference was RIDDHI MEHRA HAD BECOME RIDHHI SIDHARTH MALHOTRA.

If I add a bit more, the book concludes with a glimpse from the second part.
“SEATTLE CANCER CARE ALLIANCE, SEATLLE”
Which definitely leaves a question for the readers -what will happen to Adhira?

Life is not ONLY based on ups or downs. It’s a mixture of both.
So what does that signifies?
Remember, I began the review with a quote?
Life is all about love and friendship. If these two emotions are entangled in one's life, every single relation will bloom. This novel beautifully depicts these emotions hand in hand and bound you till the very end with inducing a strong sense of love and friendship within you. The protagonist portrays every single girl out there who is determined, strong and soft at heart as well.
Kudos to ADITTI GAUR.

RATINGS-
Overall I would like to rate the book 42 on a scale of 50.
4 stars out of 5
1. Originality of the plot and sub pots- 9/10
2. Net emotions in the story- 8.5/10
3. Usage of words and phrases-7.5/10
4. The title, cover and the illustration-9/10
5. The net impact on the readers- 8/10

Overall the plot is like a film where every page moves like a slide, in front our eyes. Every page will make you to read the next.
Because.......
“Everything of value that we will know in this life comes from our relationships with those around us. Because there is nothing material that measures against the intangibles of love and friendship.”

Blurb of the book

"Sometimes we handle everyone but can't cope up with ourselves, and get embroiled in things we wish to avoid." Everyone's life has a turning point. For some, it changes the very core of who they are. Adhira had always been too good for a world that looked at her in a mixture of awe and exasperation. In the world of insecurities and loneliness, she strived to spread love. In the world focused on the self, she taught what it was to put others' needs before one's wants. One devastating piece of news shattered her perfect world, breaking down everything she had carefully built. Suddenly, there was so much to do and not enough time. The world around her crumbled, filled with betrayal and desertion. Will she ever be able to trust anyone again? Who could she trust? Why was she refusing to acknowledge the love that was presenting itself to her? Fierce warring between nursing the wounds of betrayal and opening herself to love again splits Adhira apart. Will she ever be able to love again? Come, travel with Adhira for a few turbulent chapters of her life, as she wades through love: lost and found.

My views about the book:

"Its not how much we give but how much love we put into giving ",this beautiful snippet of mother Teresa is how the chief character Adhira is woven into. She is someone who can give her anything and everything for the people she converges with .She is an embodiment of pure love ,which is just a word in today's world .Loads of characters portrayed in the novel were given equal importance as Adhira ,but Adhira was the sun among the stars .

Narration was done by third person .When the story commenced there was a vibe in me saying that the person who you are going to read is special than the mediocre characters you eventually meet while reading .Many characters have dazzled me by their brilliance and attitude but Adhira was a step ahead of all .She was a saviour which the world needs at present. She is someone who paints the life of others more colourful and help them to shine more ...Adhira was the eccentric one who had changed the lives of many by her compassionate heart ..The clan of friends she has can be so relatable .Shikhar is my favourite one in this book after Adhira .Hardships faced by her were so hard to digest but the way she responded like a warrior princess is a lesson she has taught many of us .But some parts of the book were too surreal ,how can someone be so humane ?.....

Book cover is designed by keeping in mind the picture of the friendly Adhira ,who is there for all in their hard times seated in a bench ,with a harmonious background of blue and white colour schemes symbolising tranquility and depth..The usual printing errors could be corrected ,as I felt it would be sorted out in the future editions of the book .Starting of the book was so boring I felt so hard to complete the book due to the first half .Editing could have been much better .Numerous characters were a bit uneasy for me .

The best part about the book is the characterisation ,as each and every characters rocked the novel in their own way .Adhira ,will make you love more and live selflessly.Expecting more such heart warming reads in future by the writer ...

The copy was sent by the author to me in return of a candid review .

Favourite line :

"None in this world get everything ,something is always left unattained

About the author

An Indian by nationality and a Hindu by religion. Aditti Gaur was born in New Delhi, but her complete upbringing was done in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Years later, she moved to Gurgaon in 2011, post her marriage. She worked for the leading DTH Company for almost 5 to 6 years. She holds a respectable past experience working there, but, she quit that 9 to 6 profile job, because somewhere deep inside her heart she knew that job is not meant for her. When she completely realized this fact she silently surrendered herself to her passion – writing. She started her writing experience through her blog. She used to write her thoughts, views about everything and short stories. A die-heart music lover and almost crazy for her favorite musicians, she also loves reading. She takes a step ahead in pursuing her passion by writing her debut book ‘Adhira…Love: Lost & Found’. By this, she tried to explain the life of a girl. It is a story about a girl and her life journey of struggles, achievements, responsibilities, passion & love of her life. The journey, where, she realized that sometimes… silence is the most powerful scream and indication of something being terribly wrong. A journey, where she loses her love somewhere and then finds it again.

Adhira: Love Lost and Found is an emotional roller coaster ride. The author Aditti Gaur presents to us a heartfelt story and a gamut of characters who are made likable and realistic through her gripping story telling.

The printing of the book is very clear which makes for great readability and the cover image generates interest in the story.

The story follows a few life-changing chapters in the life of the protagonist Adhira, who is a strong willed modern day career woman. Adhira is
loved by her friends for being a magically warm person, who genuinely cares for all, and will go out of her way to bring happiness in the lives of people close to her. However, her own life is entangled in a series of tragedies, which include her being diagnosed with a terminal illness, and her sad estrangement and divorce from her husband. Adhira did not appear to me as a superwoman, rather she seemed to be a woman of flesh and blood; who loves, hates, quarrels, and bickers with passion. The real admirable thing in her character is the passion with which she reacts to every situation that life puts her in.

But, more than Adhira, the character that I could relate to is Adhira's best friend Riddhi. She is a doctor who loves her friend Adhira selflessly. Riddhi is entering one of the most important chapters in her life, her marriage - but never for a moment her thoughts go away from her friend, who is facing a terminal illness. She will do anything and everything to see Adhira happy, and she is elated when Adhira finds love in the form of Shekhar. At the same time, she is also our everyday next door girl, who is cute, mischievous, and lovable at the same time. The author has beautifully described the scene when Riddhi is smitten by her husband Siddharth on the morning of their ring exchange ceremony, and exclaims to Adhira, "He looks dashing!" I can so much relate to this scene - the excitement and thrill of a girl just about to get married is narrated beautifully here.

For me, the two most beautiful chapters in the book are the ones when Shekhar and Adhira fall in love and lose themselves into each other on their journey from Chandigarh to Manali and back.

Adhira is essentially a relationship tale with the nuances of married life, love, and friendship described in intricate details. Yes, it does lack the pace sometimes and might be intended only for a mature reader. But, if you have a sensitive mind, you will enjoy going through these vignettes on relationships and their subtle analysis.

Criticism, well, I hope the editing of the book is more carefully looked at in the sequel, as I spotted quite a few typos and missing punctuation in the book. However, the quality of story telling is so endearing, that I can pardon these mistakes. Yes, right from the chapter where Parag arrives, till the very end, I have read the story at one go!

I will be curious about the sequel, of course. I would like to know what happened to Adhira, what happened in Riddhi's life post-marriage, and also, I would like to hear Varun's side in the next story. Did he really cheat on Adhira, or are there other reasons behind his behavior? There are some unanswered questions in this area, which I hope will be addressed in part 2.

The genuine rating from my side is 3.75, but I give 4 star to Adhira for it, rather she, has moistened my heart.

* Truth be told , I received this book as a review copy in exchange of an honest review and after wrapping i found myself thankful to author for sending this book with a beautifully designed front cover *
Mesmerizing Read !!!

"The loneliest people are the kindest .The saddest people smile the brightest . The most damaged people are the wisest ."
Yes , there exist people who live for others , who die for others , who smile for others , who cry for others , who're always available for others and this book revolves around one such person named Adhira . Adhira is the portrayed as epitome of kindness who lived her whole life fulfilling dreams of other . Philharmonic she is , owns a studio of her own and music and her friends controls the steering of her life . Plot launched with Riddhi's phone call to Adhira , who's driving to Riddhi's place , breaking the news that she had accepted Siddhartha's proposal which filled the milieu with happiness but minutes later another call from Riddhi to update her about Adhira's positive bone-marrow test giving her the window of 7-8 months only . Isn't it true how only a single bad news snatches the reason of all happiness but that was also not a case with Adhira . She accepted the situation bravely and instead of shattering down , she second Siddi's( Siddhartha ) idea to tie the sacred knot of marriage as soon as possible . But the Question arise is that ' Are the pockets of kind people are always filled with happiness and joy ? ' and to get the answer do pick the book from your nearest store .
Coming to characterization which author had done beautifully writing every single character with explicit details . Doctor by profession , Riddhi is the narrator of the story & is portrayed as Adhira's best friend and i think she's Adhira's alterego too 'cause its Riddhi only with whom she shares every minute detail of her life . Next comes Siddhi who's also a doctor and sworn-brother of Adhira who loves and respect Adhi from the very core of his heart and ofcourse like any other guy he too is mad over cars . Abhimanyu , Siddhi's brother , who was Adhi's best friend but they hadn't talk from 5 years 'cause of what I term as ' battle-of-egos ' . Next comes my favorite character , Shikhar , a professional singer who had gone nuts behind Adhira but limits his relation to friendship knowing that Adhi's married and at last Akshit who could be defined in one-word -' Coward ' .
Situation :
* Adhira is over-characterized with only of her goodness which I found quite fake as per the context .
* Only twist in the story is expected from beginning .
* First half of the book is plainly straightforward .
Lesson :
*There'll be ups & Downs but don't surrender yourself to evil . Serve other without any personal ambition and you'll be blessed with more kindness than you will show to others .
*Be good enough to forgive someone but don't be stupid enough to trust them again .
*Life isn't about mourning for those who left . People who destined to be a part of life will stay or else leave for a our greater good .

" Adhira Love : Lost & Found " is a light tale of the person who live a life less ordinary and found herself bound to spill happiness in everyone's life around her .

Adhira by Aditti Gaur

Adhira as the name depicts this story is about a strong girl, Adhira. She is a kind of woman who will be crying from inside but will put a fake smile to cheer all people in her life. She is an independent woman with bravery, dignity, and values complimenting her personality. I’m in love with her character. There are too many characters in the book that I sometimes even forgot the names but the author has done a commendable job while portraying each and every character. Writing a book with so many characters is a tough task and author has done that job perfectly.

The book is written in the third person. Author has written beautiful Hindi lyrics in the middle of conversations and they are really beautiful that I enjoyed reading them with a cup of coffee. She has beautifully written some quotes which add more beauty to the book. The plot is different from other modern day stories and the form of bond and love between the characters is really beautiful.

My favorite character in the book other then Adhira is Shekhar. He loves Adhira unconditionally and supported her in every good and bad aspect and even convince her for treatment when she gave up on her life.

This book is a must read for all those who are looking for a decent and good content. There are some typos but they can be neglected after reading this beautiful book. Go buy it enjoy reading.

Adhira by Aditti Gaur was picked up by me for its unusual name.
When the story begins, Aditti gets me intrigued about Adhira.

"What's so special about Adhira that she needs a special mention throughout the story?"

As I began reading and turned the pages more, I felt impatient to read it to the end. And now I am impatient to read the sequel! I suspect that Aditti deliberately wants all the readers to become 'Adhira' (impatient)... *Laughs Loud*

The book is an engaging read making us feel part of the whole drama that unfolds. Starting off on a light everyday event, Aditti gradually infuses situations and circumstances that makes the book un-put-downable.

I would say that the book is a must read for all the women who put others first and before their own desires and dreams. It also should be read by all men who appreciate, recognize and value all these qualities.

When I finished reading, I felt that Adhira was an idealized version of woman. However upon ruminating on the characterization throughout the book I realized that I am surrounded by women who do just that - Thinking of others and sacrificing self for others. Don't they build a castle of love and comfort for their loved ones despite themselves?

Aditti in a subtle way highlights how women over the ages have been there and done that and how things must change so that she chases her own dreams and happiness. The story is sort of revelation of the realization of personal goals.

I won't say more to reveal the story but yes....

I can summarize that the book is a tearjerker without being a drag and intense without being mushy.

Do buy it from Amazon.

PS: Keep a box of tissues handy when you sit to read this book. :-)

This is the story about Adhira who has an independent streak. However she has to struggle hard to find one good reason for living her life. In her journey to watch out for that one reason, she gets encountered to many people in the phase, who actually influenced her and also she affected their lives in a way to think of a complete different perspective. Her soul sister and best friend Riddhi calls her a heaven – sent angel in disguise to help out people on earth.

The cover of the book looks interesting as it gives insight of the surprise within. The title is the main protagonist of the story that tends readers to stick to it till the end. With an intriguing storyline, one feels connected to it and never leaves it till the end. Aditti Gaur has laid down an interesting and fresh plot and compiled the story in an artistic manner. The narration is done by a third person with impersonal descriptions and briefing it in kind of letters with a perfect blend of poetry and romance.

The book also includes the lyrics of the sonnets that are completely impeccable and drive you emotionally to the character. The paraphrase seems to be eloquent with the quotes and heart – touching lines in between are the essence the author mixed up so elegantly. Furthermore, I really liked the ideology the protagonist holds for marriage, relationships and independency to make readers understand the reality of our lives.

The author has beautifully engraved the characters, be it Adhira, Riddhi, Shekhar and other supporting characters. The characterisation is well dignified as each and every character so much fall in place making the plot more interesting and upto the point.

Synopsis –
“What would you choose: life or death?
Who would you give preference to: yourself, your family or your friends?
She achieved everything she wanted. By founding a musical studio and exploring her own love for music, she gave a way to those who wandered away from their path or had no opportunity. Her life was perfect until the day her world turned upside down. She quietly surrendered yet stood brave for the rest of the world.
Then HE arrived. HE was her admirer and the only one she was comfortable with. But she pulled herself back when love tried to blossom again in her life with him. What troubled her?
It was not the end of her story. Was it a beginning or a pit – stop?
Discover Adhira for yourself.”
About the story –
This story is about Adhira who is a very confident woman. Despite of all the odd and bad circumstances in her life, she stands still and always encourages people to move on in their lives.
Her position is very effective in the lives of her friends and she never steps back from helping her people no matter how much they’ve hurt her. She is a kind of girls who never stays in her past but believes in moving on.
My verdict –
The story is nice and appealing with Adhira portrayed as a role model. Adhira is a kind of woman every girl should learn something from. Language is simple and understandable. But there are few grammatical mistakes due to which story lacks somewhere in presentation.
Other than that, it was a nice read.

Story in a nutshell:
Adhira is a story of a girl who is well known amongst her friends and family for her selfless behaviour. She puts her family, her friends before her needs. She thinks of her loved ones before thinking about herself. She is loved and wanted by everyone. What happens when such a golden heart is left heart broken? What game does destiny play with her?

Review:
The name 'Adhira' is a unique name. I had never heard it before. The meaning of Adhira is restless. The protagonist, just as the name suggests, is restless to fill the lives of others with love and happiness. She is epitome of love. She is adorable, a perfect wife, a great friend and a cute lover. The author has portrayed the protagonist so well that you'll feel connected to her instantly. Moving on to the story, the storyline appeared quite predictable to me. It is the narration which makes this book unique. The third person narration has been done really well. The books makes you feel home the moment you start reading it. The characters are many which gives this book a 'family' touch. The pace of this story cannot be labeled as fast or slow. There are few incidents that have been rushed while a few which go slow. The story teaches you many lessons for life.

Merits:
Lovely quotes throughout the story.

I rate
Cover: 3/5
Characters: 3/5
Story: 3.5/5

I rate 'Adhira: Love Lost and Found' with 3.5/5 stars.

How Simply Brilliant I Actually Found Adhira Love : Lost And Found By Aditti Gaur Can Be Gauged By The Very Fact That Even Though I Finished Reading This Truly Fascinating Book Almost 72 Hours Back, Yet I Hesitate To Review It Worried If My Review Could Possibly Do Justice To It And What If It Actually Fell Short Of My Own Expectations Leave Aside That Of Author Aditte Gaur?!!
Don’t Know Why But At Some Subconscious Level Adhira Actually Reminded Me Of Jaya Bhaduri In And As Mili? Perhaps Because Both Of Them Are Suffering From Cancer And What’s More Both Are Too Good To Be True Even Though The Two Are Almost 45 Years Apart.
Adhira Grows Upon You On So Many Different Levels That You Actually Wonder Why Some People Are So Good Like Flowers That Give Fragrance Even To The Hands That Crush It?
Indeed Adhira Is One Such Person Always Open For Family And Friends But Keeping Her Own Emotions And Feelings Clammed Up As She Is Ever Willing To Give Her Loved Ones A Long Rope Even If They End Up Making It A Noose Around Her Neck.
Jilted Love, A Marriage Turned Sour And A Fatal Illness That Looms Larger Than Life Never Fail To Pull Upon The Heartstrings Of The Reader As They Touch A Raw Spot Always.
Adhira Has Been Edited By Dhivya Balaji And As Always, Once Again She Has Done A Truly Swell Job Of Ensuring The Powerful Lead Character Of Adhira Does Not End Up As A One Dimensional Cardboard Character That’s Too Good To Be True Beyond The Covers Of The Book In A Real Time Zone.
