Wonderful Wonderful
I am out of order reading the protector series I own them all actually I own all of Doris’s books but I remember telling her I wasn’t fond of Vampire books and she told me I just might be surprised so I’ve been reading all the Vampire books and Doris wherever you are in Heaven You were correct the Vamp books are Fabulous and I wish you were here so. Could tell you that You are missed

Eva is a Protector and an Eagle Shifter.....Dimitrius is a Vampire and fate has deemed them as fated mates!! This is one of my favorite books in this series. Ms. O'Connor knew exactly how to write a hot BDSM story. Dimitrius rescues Eva from an accident and takes her to his place to recover. This story was hot, funny, sad and did I say funny? I loved how Dimitrius stood up for Eva against all her Protector buddies, even though they hate vampires. I normally read through this series every year and I always enjoy it. Doris is missed by so many readers because her stories were such a delight!

Eva is a Protector whose job it is to keep her friends, family, and the town of Cumbria safe. Her job means killing vampires. There are no good vampires she is told.
Dimitrius is a vampire and while he doesn’t go around killing he does need to eat. He doesn’t want to live a crazy life, he just wants to be left alone.
An accident and a swarm of new vampires leave Eva in a precarious situation. How is she supposed to save herself from a group of new vampires after she crashes her motorcycle? Enter her savior Dimitrius. When she wakes up and realizes that the person who rescued her is also a vampire she isn’t sure what to do. She is sworn to kill vampires. But she also knows that he is her mate.
Dimitrius knows he should stay away from Eva. How can it work between them? But when he sees that she easily gives him the submission he craves as a Dom he realizes he can’t stay away.
Faced with acknowledging their mating to the other Protectors, Eva knows that they could turn on her and kill him. But will the fact that he’s her mate save him.
With a threat looming and someone from his past arriving in town can they move forward with their relationship? Can love win in the end?

I will confess, this author is one of my go-to author when I'm looking for a sizzling BDSM read. She has a way of writing stories that mix hot erotic scenes with characters you just can't help cheering for. This series is no different. There are shifters, witches and vampires. Something for everyone.
In Her Bear Protector, she sets up the series quite nicely. I love when alpha-type heroes are made vulnerable and have to depend of the heroine for some sort of help and this story starts off with a scene that I love so much. Ronan is totally loveable and there were moments I wanted to be Tina.
In The Witch's Protector we meet Joanne, a witch and Henry an alpha wolf-shifter. Theses two totally sizzled and the action and suspense is ramped up in this story which I really enjoyed.
Her Lion Protector is perhaps my favourite out of the whole series. Not only did I totally love the tortured Leon but I loved the emotional journey of both Leon and Rebecca. Also the BDSM elements were lighter and much to my preference.
The action and suspense ramps up again in The Vampire's Protector. I'll readily admit vampires are not my favourite paranormal creatures but Dimitrius is on a different level. Loved this story especially as the sense of danger and threat to Eva increased.
As series books go, these four hit the mark for me. Not only are the paranormal and suspense elements done well, the BDSM theme level varied from book to book, making each book unique from the perspective. Although the stories are set in the same village, in terms of timelines they are paced decades apart, so you have that variety as well. As a whole this series is certainly worth the sleepless nights I spent reading it. Fabulous.

This was a good story about Eva and Dimitrius. These two seem like an unlikely pair but they hit it off so well and seem like a great couple. They work through the differences in their two worlds. I am enjoying reading this series!

Very entertaining
Loved the story with such two different species falling in love. The D/s relationship was hot and sexy. Interesting meeting with his maker and her reactions to his mate.

I have loved this series from the start. I loved how the author threw a wrench into the story. For Eva to fall for the very kind she hunts is a great twist and I loved how the story played out!
