A good selection of poetry and prose from Charles Plymell. For me, this filled an interesting historical niche and really contributes to an understanding of pre-hippiedom. Of course, I read it as a historical primary source or autoethnography and probably not at all in the spirit it was intended since it comes off mostly as the obscene, rarely coherent ramblings of a methed out deliriate delusionist.
Huxley's The Doors of Perception is a more coherent alternative for the same time period, but it doesn't capture the same tragic recklessness.

Greaser Poet extrordinare, the real tuff deal compared to his contemporaries. High octane living and reading.
