This is a quick and entertaining read that left me nostalgic for summers and holidays spent running amok in and around our family cabin. In retrospect, it’s amazing we all survived and it’s (just a bit) sad our kids will likely live a milder, more sanitized version of childhood.

Joe's humorous recounting of his family's life in Alaska was over the top and silly at times but I did like it. I even laughed out loud a couple of times.

My brother-in-law wrote a hilarious book about family adventures growing up on the homestead. A good read!
