The popular Long Overdue Library Book has been revised with more stories, pictures, and quotes. Fans of the original will want to read new stories by Jim, West, Alexis, Bob, Laura and others. Everything you liked about the Long Overdue Library Book remains, and now there is even more to like in this 2015 version of stories about libraries, librarians, and the wonderful, wacky world they inhabit. As always, the monies raised by the sale of this book go directly to support public libraries.
I received my B. A. degree from Oberlin College and my M.L.S. degree (Library Science) from Louisiana State University. From 1980 till 1999 my husband and I lived in the Mojave Desert, working for the Navy (he as a federal employee, I as a government contractor), During that time I became seriously interested in fiction writing. I found myself drawn to the Eastern Sierra, first to learn about the Los Angeles Aqueduct, subject of my first novel, Pinyon Creek, California. I have also published a murder mystery and I co-authored a collection of essays about library work. My new novel covers the same family as my first one, taking them through most of World War II. I have two sons, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. I'm inordinately proud of all of them.
