Rate this book
Leonard Delaney’s Digital Desires Inbox contains three stories of close encounters with technology. Taken by the Tetris Blocks When blocks started falling from the sky, Christie Aackerlund welcomed the excitement. Now she’s having a bad day at work, and craving some fun and games. Luckily, she runs into some Russian blocks that are looking to score. Soon, she’ll be the one falling … in lust. Conquered by Clippy Christie Aackerlund doesn’t need help with anything. So when the world’s biggest technology company offers to fly her to a remote location and investigate an alien artifact, all by herself, she’s all like “I’ll do it!” But the artifact isn’t what it seems, and soon an overly helpful giant living paperclip is getting her all bent out of shape. Invaded by the iWatch Christie Aackerlund loves technology, so she is happy to try out a smartwatch prototype that mysteriously arrives at her door. When she asks the watch how it can make her less lonely, she has no idea how many sensual features are packed into the tiny device. Discover how a forbidden sexual romance between a woman and a watch is possible. Cry out in joy at guest appearances from your favourite technology personalities. Squirm at a twist ending to the first Digital Desires trilogy that will leave you uncomfortably aroused. Exclusive to This Box The Digital Desires Study Guide A set of questions for educators and Delaney scholars to provoke discussion with and dig deeper into the Digital Desires universe.

Fully ignoring the lame advice to "write what you know," Leonard Delaney uses a vivid imagination to overcome limited life experience. His unique blend of erotica, fantasy, and science fiction explores the lighter side of massacring good taste. His debut novella, Sex Boat, is two parts parody, one part satire, with a sprinkle of sea monsters.

Awful

The books them selves are literally awful make no sense and are just biological impossible and inaccurate.... However 😂 THESE MADE ME LAUGH SO BAD, LIKE LITERALLY CACKLING LIKE A WITCH. I'm not sure if there purpose was to be comedic or a parody or just a general piss take. But fuck I have no laughed this hard in sooooo long, if anything I would not pay money for this, but if you have KU definitely give it a go, it is the single studiest novella I've ever written, yet it gave me so much to laugh about it, simply by just how bad it was 😂

At first I wasn't sure if the author even knew about how the female anatomy worked, but then when I saw the clear knowledge about the dangers of a bladder infection from mixing the touch of the anal cavity and the vaginal cavity, I just KNEW he was a real feminist, like the question at the end of the book asked.

It's not everyday a main character can notice that "Clippy had a boner", then get picked up like a kebab and turned around by his rod that is touching her internal organs, including her...heart.

It's not every day they can ask the ghost of Steve Job to give them "a Stevejob".

This is why I learned to read. And it ends with a cliffhanger????? Wow. I'm applauding.

But I gotta wonder....where's her little tetris kid? Did it disappear with the others?? The horrifying thoughts about the apartments made of the Tetris pieces, disappearing overnight and creating surely a catastrophic series of events in her world...oh god...it haunts me....

It is now time to move on to the next book of the series, and I'm sure I shall enjoy it.

I read this on a dare. I am now the biggest advocate for a zero star rating option.

Ummmmmmmmm well these were fun 😂 I don’t even know how to rate this…
5⭐️ for humor and experience 🤣
2⭐️ if you expected an actual book 😂

At the end of this book on KU is a banned story with Pluto in it too which I highly recommend. I laughed so hard throughout this book. The adjectives, the vague plots, the characters….it’s all comic genius!

This author clearly doesn’t take himself too seriously. Even his authors bio is satire. 😂😂😂

I don’t know how to leave a star rating for something that’s purposefully not professional quality writing, so I think I’m gonna just not..?

I will however be reading Conquered By Clippy twice in one day because that shit was hilarious and I’m going to need to read it out loud to my husband the second he gets home from work.

“It looks like you’re trying to achieve orgasm, may I assist you with butt stuff?” 😂 Amazing.

What in the actual bloody hell did I just read? I’m currently sat here feeling very much “what?” at the moment. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I figure that if a book got me to read to end and/or feel something, then it served it’s purpose

This is more like a 1.5 stars

Honestly this was pretty inventive with the world and the writing was funny.

Favourite part was in book 3 when you find out the iwatch is inhabited by the spirit of Steve Jobs; leading to this absolute gem of a line.

“Give me a stevejob”

I didn't know a book could take itself so seriously and not seriously at all, all at the same time. This was wild and for some reason very enjoyable to read.
