كتاب في الحديث، اراد به الامام مسلم تقرير القول في تفرد رجل من غيره فيما يراه مسلم، وقد ذهب مسلم في الكتاب الى ابعد من هذا حيث جعله فعلا" كتاب معرفة بأحوال الرجال ويعتبر كتابه هذا مصدرا" في تعريف بعض الاحوال التاريخية كظروف يقتضيها واقع التعريف بالرجل، وقد تم تحقيقه زيادة في الدقة والضبط

Abu Al-Husayn Muslim ibn Al-Hajjaj ibn Muslim ibn Ward ibn Kushadh Al-Qushairy An-Naysabur. (Arabic: مسلم بن الحجاج), commonly known as Imam Muslim, was an Islamic scholar from the city of Nishapur, particularly known as a muhaddith (scholar of hadith). His hadith collection, known as Sahih Muslim, is one of the six major hadith collections in Sunni Islam and is regarded as one of the two most authentic (sahih) collections, alongside Sahih al-Bukhari.
