Nina and the Case of the Vanishing Cupcakes

Twelve special cupcakes have vanished from the village bakery, hours before the Spring Tea Festival begins.
The doors were locked. The windows were latched. And strangest of all, the crime scene has been wiped impossibly, suspiciously clean.
Luckily, Whiskerville has its own detective. Nina is a gray-and-white cat with bright green eyes and a nose for trouble, and she notices the little things everyone else walks right past. She can't speak to people, so she solves her cases the way a real cat would: watching, sniffing, and leading her friend Emily straight to the clues.
Her partner Paris, a small tortoiseshell kitten, is absolutely certain the culprit is a raccoon. Paris is usually wrong. Paris is never discouraged.
With the festival only hours away, Nina must follow a trail of crumbs, fibs, and one very stubborn scent across the whole town, and find the cupcakes before the party begins.
A cozy, fair-play mystery for ages 5 to 9. Every clue is on the page, so young readers can solve the case right alongside Nina. Gentle, fully illustrated, and completely free of scary villains, this is a story about noticing what others miss, telling the truth, and the kind of trouble that begins with wanting everything to be perfect.
Perfect as a read-aloud for ages 5 to 7, and a satisfying independent read for ages 7 to 9.
Book 2 in the Whiskers & Clues: Nina the Cat Detective series.

“Nina and the Case of the Vanishing Cupcakes”

The purr-fect sweet detective story! This is a simple, evenly paced story and like every good detective tale, it follows a trail of little clues that ultimately solve the mystery. Along the way, it also highlights the importance of kindness and honesty. Nina and Paris are paws-itively clever little detectives! And a big round of ap-paws to Emily for finding smart little helpers. It's almost impossible not to crave cupcakes the entire time you're reading. An easy, enjoyable read for young readers—simple, sweet, and satisfying!

Nina and the Case of the Vanishing Cupcakes sounds like a charming little mystery with a lot of heart. Nina seems like a detective kids would really root for, and Paris sounds like the kind of sidekick who keeps the story fun and lively.
What I like most is that it sounds like the book cares about more than just solving the mystery. The focus on kindness, honesty, and community gives it a warm ending, which makes it feel especially well suited for young readers who enjoy cozy, wholesome stories.

Review from my 10 year old son.

A very good book. Kept me interested the whole time and you start thinking about what the mystery is about. Great book for beginning to read chapter books. Looking forward to read more of the series.
