Rate this book
Calvino, the legendary artist and lover, wastes away in a luxurious desert prison. When a traveler comes to the prison seeking fortune, he shares stories of the women he has known in order to soothe Calvino's lonely soul. But in his dying passion, the great artist sets the traveler an impossible task.

Lyrical, poetic and surreal, Invisible Women is a modern parable that examines art, passion and the destructive futility of the male gaze.

Amazing book. One of my favourites now.

It's a stunning fable mixed with short stories about all types of women. It's one of those books you can just pick up and read from anywhere and it gets your imagination going.

This was ok, it took a while to understand the way it was written but I liked the descriptions of all the different women. I think it would actually work better a sa book of drawings or photos. Something to think about anyway :)

What did I just read? Its not poetry or a story. I like some of the descriptions of women and the whole mystical artist thing, but overall it was a bit too out there for me. Maybe one fot the boys?
