Rescue mission

Sharon Lennard attributed tension between herself and her new boss to his not liking her. Then she realized it was because Dr. Matthew Dempster liked her all too much. When she met his daughter, she discovered the reason for his reticence an all-consuming dedication to his child and his work. After the trauma in his past he'd shut everything else out, not wanting to love and lose again. But maybe Sharon could persuade Matthew to let her into his life, and together they could find the love and sense of family they both so richly deserved....

This was a good book. I liked the characters. Jessica was a really good addition too. I liked the emergencies that kept the pace up and all the additional characters such as the team and the family. I would read this again, but more for rainy-days or passing the time. The emotions were written well and were touching, aggravating and understandable. Some of it got a little old, but the ending was perfect and the epilogue was icing on the cake. Enjoy
