The Sifted Generation

by Michael L. Henderson

Has the final end time generation spoken of by Jesus and the prophets finally arrived? Could our generation be the one that is witnessing the beginning phases of the second coming of the Lord? If so, will you be one of the faithful Jesus finds when He calls His Church to heaven?

In The Sifted Generation, Pastor Michael Henderson takes a unique look at the final generation from which the true church will be sifted just prior to the days of tribulation that are coming on the entire earth. The Bible tells us the times of that generation will be perilous! Blasphemies, selfishness, rebelliousness, gracelessness, slanderous hearts, hedonistic behavior, and a lack of respect for God, His church, and His commandments will rule the day. As evidenced in the social and cultural wars around the globe it is evident that the world is already choosing its sides.

No longer fearing God, a looseness of morality will surface. Deceptive boldness with senseless courage will combine causing millions to join with them in their war against Christ. Little do these know that their rebellious ways are really an audition to take part among the cast of characters that will set the stage for the coming days of tribulation—the days of anguish—which will make up the final seven years before the Lord returns to set up His millennial kingdom reign.

Ironically, the Bible declares that a man will arise in the last days, a religious leader who will have great charisma and the uncanny ability to garner support from large sections of unbelieving humanity. Through deceptive words, promises, and the quasi miraculous, this religious leader will then persuade his followers to support one even more sinister than he. This partner in deception will pounce on the opportunity to take the reins of the world under his control.

About the author

I have been writing church related articles and leadership materials for years. It has always been a passion for me. My blog, www.truthinspires.com has been maintained for several years and reaches 100’s daily. The blog is searchable and has nearly 200 articles to choose from. This book, The Sifted Generation, will be my third book. It was preceded by, 25 Reasons to Believe where I was editor and co-author with Bernie Lutchman and John Snyder and Those Who Are Wise Will Shine! Understanding the Work of God in Your Redemption. My greatest joy in writing is the release into print of the convictions the Spirit of God places on my heart—truths meant to inspire other believers to service and obedience. So I am always hopeful that those who read one of my books or articles will be inspired toward a deeper relationship to Christ.

I have been in ministry for nearly thirty years and as a Pastor I am constantly in touch with how the Lord works in changing lives. The well-being and spiritual care for others is what drives me to share God's life-changing truths. I currently serve as Sr. Pastor First Baptist Church, Springfield, IL. Springfield is the state capitol of Illinois and a hotbed of activist activity. My lovely wife, Brenna, and I have two daughters, Gracey, age eleven, and Mika, age twelve. We currently reside in Chatham, Illinois.
