Arianne Duggan, known as Ari, is 28 years old and still a virgin. Unbeknown to anyone, other than one other person, lies a darker side of Ari. She wants to lose her virginity but not in the ordinary way. No! She has specific needs. She doesn’t want a relationship, just a night. One night to be fucked the way she desires.

Connor Lewis has everything that Ari is looking for. Tall, blonde, blue eyes and a six pack. Connor is a typical, 30 year old man, with a demanding nature that he keeps hidden. He loves life and is a happy soul. He has a reputation as a bad boy due to his looks and the tattoo that runs down the left side of his body. He is just what Ari is looking for. But is he?

After approaching Connor on a night out they strike up a deal, a deal that benefits them both. The connection she feels with Connor scares her, because she doesn’t know that after one night with him, she will be able to walk away. Unbeknown to her Connor feels the same, but he too is scared. No woman has got under his skin and accepted him the way he is in the bedroom, until Ari.

On the verge of striking up a new deal, a face from Ari’s past makes a dramatic entrance and the demons she thought she had fought, come back to haunt her. Struggling with her emotions, she pushes Connor away, until he puts forward a new deal to her. A different deal!

Will she take it? Will the feelings that they have both kept tucked away come spilling out or will they stay safely locked away, forever!

Ari's secret wish is to loose her virginity in a different way than what you normally would. She is ready but needs the right guy.... who happens to be Connor. The deal is only one night without strings. As they discuss their "one night," something from her past comes to surface and Ari has got issues. She needs to be safe and hopefully Connor will get it to her.
The story is fabulous written.... loved every and I mean really every word. Can't wait for more <3

A rather interesting read I must say K Zarebski. The book titled, "Safe," was a good read a woman turning 29 wants to give up her virginity in a way that she wants to, but not in a normal way. Her first boyfriend may her feel worthless. Then she finds this guy she wants to give it to one night only. Can they walk away from each other after one night of passion..... we shall see. WOW Conner Lewis what a man and Arianna Duggan what she went through with her first boyfriend she is a strong woman. You got to read this book.

I don't usually read books with stories located in the UK, I read to escape and to dream. But The Safe hooked me in and wouldn't let go. The characters are intense but believable, Ari and Conner have a humour about them and their relationship which is delightful whilst Matt and Claudia give them their conscience. The plot flows well and at a good pace. I disagree with comments (each to their own) about the story being unrealistic, just because they may not be everyday circumstances does not make them any less plausible than a billionaire falling for an unknown, it's called fiction for a reason and K writes excellent fiction! Even the 'baddie' is suitably cringe-worthy. I started reading this book months ago when K. Introduced herself to me and through no ones fault but my own I had to stop reading but I picked it up again at 4pm yesterday and finished it 12 hours later loving every word. Thank you K. For introducing yourself and letting me into your world, now I'm just waiting on The Key *taps foot impatiently* The safe is an excellent read and I will be recommending to my fellow readers and groups. PS Matt and that tattoo wow, I mean WOW!

It's 'SAFE' to say I loved this book!!!

Ari has specific 'desires' and 'needs' and up to now she hasn't found anyone to satisfy them.... until Connor a 'hot alpha male' mechanic with his own business who has his own way of 'handling' things.... the two meet and BOOM what a ride.

The main characters were believable and their chemistry was 'off the charts' hot. I really liked Connor from the outset and although it took me a while to warm to Ari until you found out 'why' then you could understand.

I thought the story was different and it wasn't stung out and I enjoyed the 'British' feel from this British author.

Z Bareski's writing style is very easy to read and keep up with and I can't wait to read the other books in the series.

I would recommend this book!!!!

Yikes.

This book was a train wreck. This was one of those books where the blurb sounds good but then you buy it and get the shaft. Bad writing is a pet peeve. I feel like I'm reading legal documents when authors don't use abbreviation when they're characters converse. It makes them sound ridiculous. And the story was boring. Just plain dull. Connor wants her, Ari wants him but she has issues. Her back story wasn't even interesting. Don't waste your money.

This is the first book I have read by this author.

I liked Connor. I didn't connect with Ari. Some of the story line was a bit much for me. It wasn't my favorite book but it was ok.

This story is unrealistic and naive. I had a hard time grasping her thoughts and feelings. Had Ari not been a virgin and had more experience, it would have made more sense. My question while reading the story was, “How does an inexperienced person know she has this dark sexual side?” Perhaps it happens, but it seems completely unbelievable to me.

Due to the vocabulary used, I could tell the story took place in England, though I don’t recall it ever being mentioned in the book. Words like “sat” instead of “sitting”, and “snigger” instead of “laugh” or “snicker” were used often. (Yes, “snigger” is understandable, but not when used for every single time a character laughed.) One part I didn’t understand was “wanker” being used as a horrible insult a couple of times. (I had to snicker at those parts.) I also had an issue with the word “gently” being used constantly throughout the story. The same goes for the words “c*ck” and “p*ssy”. Those are the only two words the author used to describe the characters’ anatomy. There are many other words that mean the same thing and could have been used also. A few other common grammar mistakes were made, but I could look past them with ease.

The story seemed to want to pull off of the “50 Shades of Grey” storyline, but failed miserably. The worst part of it is the author has an amazing way of writing. I wanted to enjoy the story, I just couldn’t. I will read more of her work to see if I enjoy other storylines more. I hope that I do, because again, I believe she has great talent and I can’t wait to see it used.

This is the first book in The Safe Series and I've got to say , the first page had me hooked and by the end of the first chapter I knew there was no way on Earth I was putting this book down until the end . So an all-nighter it was lol .
Having Matt Zumwalt as a muse was just pure brilliance , reading those awesome sex scenes between Ari and Connor while seeing Matt's face in my head was a bonus . There' s nothing like perving over Matt while reading this read book , it just heightens the pleasure . What a wonderful story of passion .
When you just know that person who is starring intently at you and only you across the room is the person your meant to be with , give yourself too . Only her past could spoil her future . Is the deal worth the sacrifice of her virginity ? Hell yes he is . But can he deal with taking it from her ? One night , Is that enough ? Can they get their fill of each other in just one night ?
Read it and find out for yourself .
Kate is a new author to me and I am glad to have found her , she has an great talent and can't wait to get stuck into The Key , Matt and Claudia's story.
If I could give Kate more than 5 stars I would . Congratulations Kate on a fantastic story .

Is Connor her safe place?

For Connor Lewis and Arianne Duggan the sparks of love and lust fly immediately. Then reality rears it's head. Ari (Princess to Connor) is a 28 year old virgin with some definite desires on exactly how she wants her first sexual experience to be. Unfortunately a former boyfriend she trusted made her feel insecure and unlovable. This has haunted her for three years. When Connor comes into her life she's ready to give it another chance. They strike up a deal for a one night experience but hang on because that deal keeps changing as the story progresses. See how they traverse through the changes their relationship takes. This is book one of a three book series.
