Hah, super dated because the main character gets chicken pox. Remember when parents didn't freak out over that and it wasn't a news-worthy item when a kid got chicken pox? Those were the days...
At any rate, pretty okay story about a kid who gets sick with the chicken pox on his birthday. He kind of lucks out because he celebrates it the next week, thus making his birthday a week-long affair. Spoiled!

My kids and I have greatly enjoyed this tale of a sad little Pig whose birthday is ruined by a case of the Chicken Pox. Told from the pig's point-of-view, the story is provides young readers with a delightful tale of dealing with what happens when the best plans get ruined.
