Fascinating and thorough (and at times lyrical) overview of water law, politics, ecology along the Snake River from Yellowstone to the Pacific. Opened my eyes to how little I know about rivers - both ecologically and politically. Water law has got to be the most complex area of law there is, and super important to everything about the West. Made me want to become a lawyer... for a minute. Or an organizer :)
