This is a beautifully illustrated picture book. The story is sweet with the little girl always having hope and her grandparents gently suggesting that she let go. The two things that made it particularly special fun to read are the fairies sprinkled throughout the illustrations --- they are hidden and are fun to seek out while looking at the illustrations of the greater story and - most important is the map that us included showing the fairy boat ride! Great book!

My 3 year old really enjoyed this book. She's very into fairies right now, this book was a great story. She had a great time searching the pages for the hidden (and not-so-hidden) fairies on each page.
