Ruth Glick (born 1942) is a best-selling author of healthy cookbooks and has also written dozens of romantic suspense romance novels under the pen name Rebecca York.
Ruth earned a B.A. in American Thought and Civilization from George Washington University and an M.A. in American Studies from the University of Maryland. Although she always wanted to become a writer, Glick was convinced that her lack of spelling skills meant that her goal was unattainable. As a stay-at-home mother, she took a community college course to help her choose a career. The course made it very clear that writing was her primary interest. Glick began writing articles for newspapers and magazines, but after several years decided to try writing fiction. Her first book, a kids' science fiction book, was finally purchased by Scholastic Inc..
Since then, Glick has become a highly successful author of over 50 romantic suspense and paranormal novels. Many of her novels are published under the Harlequin Intrigue line, and in June 2003, she became one of the first authors published under Berkley's new Sensation imprint. Before 1997, she often collaborated with Eileen Buckholtz and Kathryn Jenson.
Glick also is a highly regarded author of cookbooks focusing on healthy eating. She sometimes hires trained chefs to test the recipes that she creates, and makes sure that every recipe is tested at least three times before it appears in one of her cookbooks.
Glick is the head of the Columbia Writers Workshop. She and her husband, Norman Glick, live in Columbia, Maryland, where Ruth collects rocks, and enjoys cooking, walking, reading, gardening, travel, and Mozart operas. They have two grown children, Elissa and Ethan, and two grandsons (Jesse and Leo).
I've said it before and I’ll say it again, I just love Rebecca York’s Decorah Security Series (and The Moon Series, which this is a spin-off of!) She takes my love of romantic suspense and the paranormal and combines them together to keep me engaged and turning the pages to see what will happen next and weaves in the paranormal elements in a way that has me believing in the impossible.
I loved the whole set up of this story, being thrown in to the hotel with the guests and trying to determine what was actually happening. I've always loved stories with twins, and when Mack’s brother gets involved you just know there’s going to be lots of action in trying to figure out who is behind everything.
There was lots of heat, some heart-tugging moments, a great suspense, and of course an appearance by some old friends with Decorah Security. Lily was a great heroine who steps up and gets involved but knows her limits. Both Mack and his twin brother Grant were take-charge alpha heroes who weren't afraid to let their sensitive/protective sides come out. And even though Mack had to deal with a bit of betrayal and deceit, I loved the fact that understanding and forgiveness were also something he showed.
Another great read by Rebecca York and a definite must read for anyone who likes an action filled romantic suspense with or even without a touch of paranormal.
Now to hope that we get Grant’s story…please don’t make us wait!
I received a copy of this book from the author/tour host for an honest review but loved it so much I bought my own copy!
Mack has an amazing career as a Navy Fighter Pilot but on his most recent mission something goes wrong. When he wakes up he has no idea where he is or how he got there and when he encounters others in his new reality he becomes more and more confused. For a man who is used to knowing the rules and following them this new existence is not easy for him. Grant is floored by the news that his twin Mack has died. Yet when he goes to pay his final respects he finds that he has been lied to and will stop at nothing to get to the bottom of what happened to his brother. The more questions he asks seems to put him in the cross hairs of some very bad men but that is not going to stop him from finding his brother and the truth. Lily is a doctor who has dedicated her life o helping people with serious brain injuries and she thought this most recent project would be her greatest accomplishment. Yet when she finds that the project is not all it seems to be she grows afraid of what might happen to those in her care. In a great story filled with lies, intrigue, love, paranormal and a hell of a lot of action these characters take you on a ride to a place no one would have imagined possible. Along the way you will also be pulled into believing things that are way beyond the norm. A very fast paced book that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
RX MISSING by Rebecca York is a unique Paranormal Romantic Suspense/Mystery. "Decorah Security" #8, but can be read as a stand alone. A unique tale, that is well written, fast paced, exciting and intriguing. Mack Bradley and Lily Wardman find themselves in a luxury Hotel, with no memory if how they got there, but danger lurks. While, Mack's brother, Grant, launches a desperate search to find Mack, Mack and Lily find they are drawn to each other in more ways than one. Sparks fly. Fast paced tale, with many facets to the story and the characters. I found this story to be engaging and intriguing, well paced, as well as well written with fantastic, well developed characters. The storyline was unique in concept and with the premise of romance and finding love. Fans of the T.V. series, "Twilight Zone" will definitely enjoy "Rx Missing". Paranormal Romance fans as well as Mystery and Suspense lovers, will enjoy as well, I believe.

Rx Missing (Decorah Security, #8) was an amazing read by Rebecca York. I love reading Rebecca's books they are well written and the characters were fantastic. Rx Missing is the 8th book in the series. I was hooked on the first page and didn't want it to end. I read this in one setting and finished it in one day it was that good.
We find our hero's Mack and Lily in a luxery hotel with no memory and with danger lurking in the mist. Mack's brother is trying to find him and his whereabouts.
Rx Missing was superb and enjoyable. Will be looking towards to reading more from Rebecca York love her paranormal series. These books are so addicting and with likable characters.
Rebecca York does it again! She takes two genres and combines them and makes them work. The romantic suspense and paranormal works so well together in this story. It is one book of a series, but you could read it as a stand alone and enjoy it just as much. I was so happy to read about some of the characters from the other Decorah Security books. I enjoyed how the story has so many different elements including heat, suspense, twin hot men, and the coma scenario which are weaved together to form a riveting read. I look forward to reading more in this series and sure hope Grant is next!
Love this series. A brilliant mix of Romantic Suspense, with a sprinkle of PNR and Sci-Fi!
Mack's last memory is ejecting from his fighter jet. He woke up in a very fancy but otherwise empty hotel. There are several other guests but everything just seems...off. He feels weirdly connected to Lily, another of the guests, but it soon becomes evident she is keeping a BIG secret from him.
Grant, Mack's twin, has found the evidence that his twin did not die as the Air Force keeps trying to tell him. So he begins his own investigation into what happened, with a bit of help from his former employers at Decorah.
Lily is not a great liar and she hates the subterfuge, especially with Mack. But she has her own reasons for keeping the "Hotel" online.
Mack deals with the deceit and weirdness of his situation quite well - I would not be that understanding, no matter how well-intentioned the lies were.
Exciting suspense romance with a touch of paranormal. This book is part of a series and, at lease with this story, it doesn't suffuse for not having been read in order. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
Another wonderful imaginative story by Rebecca York. I love reading her stories. This one is really different. Image a reality for those in a coma to have normal lives and to be able to communicate.
Like York's other DEcorah Security writings, this book is filled with plot twists. It is a fast read with sympathetic characters. It makes the reader dream of real life possibilities for plot found in the book.
This is time travel with a difference. I must say I was confused throughout this book as I struggled to figure out what was happening. It contained tension, intrigue, a wonderful relationship and great ensemble of characters. I enjoyed it so much.
