A Dangerous Breed

Rate this book
Genetically modified tomatoes are the least of our worries! These canines have picked up a human-like intelligence somehow. Hopp has written a frightful tale in the tradition of The Hound of the Baskervilles but just a bit more scary -- and believable.

Peyton McKean and Fin Morton investigate a series of murders in the desert canyons of eastern Washington State. Police suspect a Native American shaman but the native man suspects an ancient, legendary creature that is half man and half coyote -- Woyotl. The answer to the mystery is more astonishing and terrifying than anyone suspects.

This short story is a WOW! It is extremely well written, taut, and a thriller from start to finish. Genetic engineering gone bad is the theme. Wild dogs are the things. This story starts out creepy. You visit a crime scene where the bodies have been eaten by coyotes, but not just any coyotes. These are very bad doggies. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish.
