Rate this book
It’s coming the end of the school year and perhaps your child is still struggling with common core reading. What are you going to do? It’s hard to breathe a sigh of relief when you know that the summer will make the reading gap wider and the struggle harder starting the new school year. These are difficult times for our young children taking high stakes tests. We can alleviate the stress if we help to prepare them throughout the summer. Many students who never struggled before are finding the work more difficult especially with the rigor required by the common core. What can you do as a parent? A lot! You don’t need fancy programs, expensive tutors, sophisticated resources or a degree in Reading. What you do need is resilience, passion to help your child succeed and commitment to the Fun Boot Camp rules. Even if your child is not struggling this program can increase stamina and keep them on track for success.
Most schools have off for at least 10 weeks during summer break. This program is a 10 -week program. It can be extend longer or shortened. At this time in your child’s life reading is either a joy or a continued struggle. Either way this program will enhance your students reading abilities and give them self -confidence when school begins again.

The Fun Reading Boot Camp weekly activity times progress to build up stamina and resilience for time on task.

I have used this method successfully with my own children and with the students in my school. I have no doubt that you will see amazing reading results. The results will vary depending on how closely you adhere to the program, but the benefits of just 10 minutes a day of reading will increase your child’s stamina.
