Jennifer Hillier imagines the worst about people, and then writes about it.

She's afraid of the dark and can’t sleep unless she's checked the locks on the doors several times. She loves writing when it’s raining, sleeping when it’s sunny, and reading after everyone else has gone to bed. She's a cat person without a cat, which makes her sad. But she's now back in the Toronto area permanently with her family, which makes her happy.

This is a fast paced story that you can just dive head first in and can't put down. I love the way Jennifer Hillier writes her characters and love the scenery. I know it not a series but now I feel like I can read Heart of Glass since I know about Seaside now.

I devoured this book in one day after discovering it while wanting to read the second book, which was featured in Book of the Month. I realized there was a first book in the series and was hooked. The book keeps you guessing throughout, with unexpected twists that keep you on your toes. I’m now on the second book and eagerly anticipating where it will lead. The writing is captivating, and the suspense is so compelling that you can’t stop reading until you finish.
