Adrian Cruz was tall, dark, handsome, and the most kind-hearted and lovable person Jemma Johns had ever met. For eighteen-year-old Jemma, it had been love at first sight. Adrian and Jemma quickly became inseparable and they were destined to be married and live happily ever after, but something sinister was trying to keep them apart.
Adrian's strength of character and the desire she has for helping people has given her an inner-glow visible only to the spirit world. Her interest in the paranormal and with the ghost tracks of San Antonio has caused a malevolent spirit to pull her into another realm. The wicked ghost of a two-hundred-year-old witch uses Adrian as a guiding light in her world of darkness.
Can Jemma rescue Adrian from the repulsive and vile spirit? Or will the spirit drain her of her inner light, leaving Adrian unable to return to the world of the living?

For me this story was freaking me out. It speaks of the power of love against the supernatural. I seemed to feel what Jemma felt as she was dealing with the supernatural beings in this story. This story is why I don't do Ouija boards or seances. Very good story and I don't regret reading it or buying it at all. Could not put it down and hopefully I'll be able to sleep.
Gripping! The reader is following loves, friendships, and sharing of food of the characters and all of a sudden falls into a frightening ghost story. I love that I could look at the story in more than one way and had to wait all the way to the end to find out what really happens. Touching back story of friendships contrasted with the paranormal experience is unsettling. As others have said perhaps you would want to read in the daylight. A good read.
This was so exciting and I'm so glad I've read the book during daylight. It was so exciting that I got palpitations at one point. I could not put the book down. Even when I had to go to the toilet I kept delaying it. This story has everything, anxiety, tension, it's spooky, friendship and true love. This is the first time I read a book by this author and definitely not the last. I found it very well written, the story was well crafted.
FiveStars This book was different then any paranormal book that I have read before. So much creepy paranormal action that kept me glued to it as I turned the page. The women in this book go through so many things in such a short period of time. The train tracks were creepy, and I'm not sure I would go sit my car on them like they did that is for sure!
I was given this in return for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.
A unique, supernatural battle of evil vs love storyline made this a very entertaining book. Very enjoyable with nice flow, interesting narrative & relatable characters made it easy to read.
First I just want to say I don't usually write reviews because I usually end up rambling or giving away the main parts of the book, so this is my 'good' review I hope... I borrowed this book using my prime account, because I didn't want to buy a book about ghost and the like without being sure that the book was actually good and I actually surprised by this book, at first I wasn't really sure, but then, I couldn't put the book down, I was scared for the characters, I was scared for me, and though I don't believe in ghost it left me looking over shoulder a few times while I was reading the book. I could only wish for a second book for the tracks, I want to know what happened to all the living character, I want to know what happened to my personal favorite character Sheila. This is my second book of this author, the first one was 'Her maiden voyage' and I got curious but after reading 'The tracks' She is becoming one of my favorites authors. I wish I could give this more than five stars.
