Oh dear God... I went through this thing freshman year, and it gets fairly straight to the point so that students can pass their tests, so I'll definitely give it that. If you're just trying to learn mathematics to pass a mandatory class, this is actually pretty great for that. However, it sucks all the joy of learning math out of it. It doesn't give any information as to where methods or equations stem from, and it just blindly tosses them to you and you're not supposed to question it.
