Dnf at 48%. This is a case of "it's not you, it's me." The kid gets waaaayy too much page time in this book for me. I'm not against kids in romance books, but when 90% of the story so far has revolved around the kid or thinking about the kid, it's too much. I'm halfway through and barely know anything about the main couple because of the boy.

It's time to move on to something else.

Her Lone Cowboy by Patricia Forsythe was an excellent book. Laney Reynolds has a four year old boy named Sam. She moved into a house in the country that her great uncle left her. It is next door to Caleb Ranson who likes being alone. He takes in horses that have been mistreated and adopts them out. He was in the war and injured. Bad leg and arm. He is still healing. Sam is a little four year old pistol. He tries so hard but still manage to get into trouble. Sam keeps sneaking out and going over to Caleb's place. He likes Caleb and his dog. I think Sam made this story. I laughed. A very good read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story of loss and love and family. The main characters were very likable and Sam, the little boy with a fascination for cowboys, was adorable. A feel-good read.
