By late morning, early afternoon, the campus no longer belonged to itself and soon neither would the lives of Alora, June, Camila, Sage, Kate, Jett, Tyler, Jackson, and Milo. Friends bound together by loyalty and the curiosity of youth, they find themselves pulled into a deadly game they cannot quit. What begins as normal movie nights quickly spirals into a harrowing test of friendship, courage and survival, as cryptic messages, hidden envelopes, and dangerous locations push them to their limits
The group must navigate abandoned buildings, strange coordinates and eerie forests. Friendships are tested and every step seems monitered by a calculating presence that knows them better than themselves.
Sticking together may be the only thing standing between life and death, but even that may not be enough. A gripping psychological thriller, The Case They Weren't Given explores fear, loyalty, trauma, and the darkness lurking within both strangers and friends. With tension that never lets up and a chilling climax that questions who can really be trusted, this is a story that will keep readers on edge until the very last page.
I found this book and was instantly drawn by the cover. Even though I do not read thrillers often this is a book I recommend to everyone regardless of your most read genre. To say I wasn't scared while reading this would be a lie. This book is unforgettable read, I was hooked by the first page and left jaw dropped by the last. A plot twist I never expected. The Case They Weren't Given is an emotional rollercoaster everyone should try!
I was hooked by the first page. I read a lot of thrillers so it was unusual to not be playing detective, regardless that did not effect how much I enjoyed this read. I did not expect the plot twist at the end, I was left staring at my ceiling for a while after finishing this book. It is a nice fast pace thriller which helped me get out of my four month reading slump. I recommend to anyone in a reading slump as I am sure this book will be able to help you out of it.
