Crash 3: There's No Place Like Home - A dark post-apocalyptic tale

After seeing his father killed and his house burned to the ground, Michael is left wandering the violent streets of London alone.

Having been captured, he's managed to escape from the bad men once. He cannot get caught again.

With no family and no help available to him, he meets someone who offers him hope. Someone who's different from all of the other people in this broken and violent world. Someone who can help him find what he's looking for.

All Michael wants to do is find somewhere safe. Somewhere he can call home.

To do that he must survive in a city where he’s the weak and the hunted.

If he lowers his guard he could end up at the warehouse again. He’d rather die than go back there.

I was a bit hesitant to start book 3 in this series. Even though I enjoyed the first two books, they were both extremely violent and the content was very graphic. Both books 1 and 2 were page-turners with a gripping story line that naturally sucked you in from one chapter to the next... impossible to put down as you just had to know what happens next. However, I did read a note from the author that said the level of violence tones down a bit in book 3, so I decided to continue and did find that to be the case. I believe the violence in the first two books was a necessary component to give the reader a feel for just how bad society can degrade when a global financial crisis hits and all forms of government and law and order collapse. As Lola says in book 3, "You don't live in a fucking Disney movie."

In book 3 we find out what happens to Michael, the little boy from book 1. Once again, the action is nonstop in this book and it was also impossible to put down. So I am now sucked into this story and here for the long haul. If you are a fan of dystopian novels, I highly recommend this one.

This series grips you and sucks you into an inescapable world. Every book is a page turner and ends on a cliff hanger, forcing you forward, deeper and deeper into the new world where the only person you can truly trust is yourself.

I cant recommend this book enough. It's one of those books that leaves you thinking about it long after the final page. Every now and then you pick up a piece of gold that you know you'll never forget.

Unlike many series of this nature, each book keeps you hooked. The story doesn't fizzle out and the characters r,in well rounded and believable.

Thank you Michael Robertson for sharing this amazing piece of gold.

( I was gifted the book for an honest review)
I am one who feels that the more books are in a series, something ends up lacking by book 3. I am SO HAPPY Michael Robertson proved that rule wrong for me. I adore this book in the series. It grabs you on page one and doesn't let up till the last page. Warning to all, this is a dark, gritty read. Same tone as the previous 2. But it works beautifully here. There are characters that I HATED, absolutely HATED!!! Wishing evil, bad deaths on them made me happy. Be warned, there are parts involving children and some awful things men do. You have to remember, this is an apocalyptic type book so rainbows and puppies are not in here. A character I HATED in the last books, I kind of feel some sympathy for. You will understand why when you read it. Michael is my favorite character in this book. Such determination and strength for such a young kid. Makes you want to hug him and hide him from all bad things. If you have not read the other 2 books, GRAB them now ( I will wait........ Done? ) and then grab this, spend a few days reading. You will be so happy you did. Now to wait for the next book as it ended on a cliffhanger.

This author comes through again. I believe that I have read everything he has written and I have never been disappointed.

This is the third book in the series of a world in which society has failed. There is no order or law and the strong will be the ones that survive. Each of the books focuses on one character and how they deal with the new world order. So far, each of the characters were in the first book. The author takes each character and delves into their mind in a way that will grip the reader and make you feel immersed in the story.

The first 2 books in the series were rather violent yet not off-putting. This book is about a 11 year old boy that came from a privileged family. He lost his family to violence and now he must figure out how to survive. The author has toned down the violence as befits the main character. Did I miss the gore and violence - a bit perhaps. However, I did get to read what Michael Robertson is capable of writing in a different vein. I think he is a very talented writer capable of great things.

Excellent Twist

This third book filled in many of the loose ends, some of which I suspect other readers never gave too much thought about because I know I never did. While some of the info helped to explain why one young woman acted, and often reacted, how she did, I'm not really sure why she was brought back into the story only to leave more loose ends. There's an old saying, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" and for a while it looked like they tried really did try to live by that mindset in this part of the series, but sometimes the reason why people became enemies can be too hard to overcome, although I have huge respect for young Michael for trying so hard to try to get over why they were enemies but some pains are just too big to overcome...

Crash III

I had a hard time starting this third book, after the last one I had no idea what to expect and yet I did. I thank the author for not going into vivid detail with some of these scenes, what comes to one's imagination is plenty bad enough. I hope that more stories from this London are yet to come.

Harsh new world expands

The harshness of this new chaotic world lends credibility to the characters transitions into it. With each story, a expanding map of intertwined destinies brings the reader deeper into this world. Realism at its best. Look forward to the expansion!

Again, as with the rest of this series, this novel is intended for mature audiences. Violence and explicit language throughout.

I loved Crash III as much as its predecessors. A great read.
