Mess.
The wife forgives the husband.
The wife accepts the outside child.
The wife forgives the sister.
The wife gets back with the husband.
And just in case the reader is still questioning this train wreck of an ending, we’re treated to Bible verses about forgiveness.
I’m sorry, but no.
My issue isn’t that forgiveness exists. People forgive terrible things every day. My issue is that this story seems determined to strip the female lead of every reasonable boundary, every ounce of self-respect, and every consequence that should have followed behavior this extreme.
At some point, this stops being a redemption story and starts feeling like the author is asking the heroine to be a martyr.
What bothered me most is a trend I’ve noticed in some books featuring Black women: the expectation that the Black female protagonist must endlessly endure betrayal, humiliation, and suffering, only to be rewarded with the privilege of forgiving everyone who hurt her. The lesson somehow becomes that the more pain she absorbs, the more virtuous she is.
Forgiveness and reconciliation are not the same thing.
You can forgive someone and never speak to them again.
You can forgive someone and refuse to remain married to them.
You can forgive someone and still decide they no longer deserve access to your life.
Instead, this book presents reconciliation as the obvious happy ending after infidelity, family betrayal, reproductive sabotage, and emotional devastation.
I wasn’t moved. I was irritated.
By the time the Bible verses started appearing, it felt less like a story about healing and more like an attempt to guilt the reader into accepting an ending that the plot had not earned.
The happy ending should have been therapy, boundaries, personal growth, and a fresh start with people who hadn’t betrayed her.

Umm I was hoping for a completely different outcome. Loved that people took accountability, but for me a little too late. I’m sorry too much happened for this to be the conclusion. That girl should be jail not booed up. Also, he didn’t deserve her, despite all the change he did. She should have ended up with a new man who loved her unconditionally without causing her pain. I love the Lord, but forgiveness doesn’t mean reconciliation must happen. People should still face consequences for their actions. That man only stopped when Faith came back. If she didn’t come back he still would’ve been with Sug.
But I still enjoyed the book overall. It definitely will have you in your feelings.

good series
Loved the series but the last few chapters felt like someone else wrote it or was rushed. A lot of inner dialogue or few word sentences. Wish it was more of them being back together and communication between the two than chapters of inner dialogue. Then the final chapter was more joking than really showing the love they had for each other to get back together to really tie the story back in. Makes you want more than leaving us satisfied.

I really enjoyed this
Even though I got a bit of Chinatown, my sister, my friend, my cousin from Faith and Sugar. Mayno was dead wrong and if it never came out about babies, Faith would have never taken him back. My favorite was the kids and Summer/Winter man that Mayca🤣🤣🤣 was there a real ending with Dayjohn and Shanna. That felt incomplete

Listennnn you had me at part 1..not to mention you are from my city…anywho I loved every single page…the bible scriptures the quotes..let’s talk about the MMC and FMC…the way you wrote their story…the highs were and lows were lower…so happy they got their happy ending…I highly recommend reading…

Great Ending!
A lot of gems were dropped in Part 2. I love how you’ve incorporated God and scriptures from the word throughout the book all awhile focusing on everyone’s pain journey towards healing and forgiveness. It’s not an easy road but at the end of it there is always peace.

Amazing Read
This story was authentic, hilarious, and meaningful. Beautiful messages about life, forgiveness, and healing with a touch of hood that most of us have in us! I still want to know more about the other characters. Spin-off perhaps?! Great read!

phenomenal
A second chance love story….. each character development was absolutely phenomenal. I really enjoyed the storyline, i can’t believe i was rooting for a cheater!! Great book i enjoyed it.
I would love to dive into Summers and Rue story more !!

EXCELLENT READ
I really enjoyed this series It had a lot going on. It was a great page turner & quick easy read. This was my first book. I read from this author, but I will look forward to reading others.

Flo’Chi 🔥🔥🔥
Deceptions 1&2 OMG…Loved it. Flo’Chi is now one of my new favorite authors. These books made angry, laugh and almost cry. This was a great read and it will take you on an emotional rollercoaster. Looking forward to see what’s next to come.

Absolutely tf not. Part one was good but part two was not it.
They caused way too much trauma to the FMC for everyone to get a HEA.
Part one and part two had two totally different writing styles as well.
