After her marriage collapses, 42-year-old Lucy runs away from her life in the big city, seeking a fresh start in a small town in Massachusetts. When she stumbles into a cozy diner, she immediately feels at home. But when she finds out it's on the verge of shutting down, she makes an impulsive decision to do whatever she can to save it.
She never expected the head chef, Noah, to be so grumpy... yet so irresistible, and so clearly off-limits. He's as opinionated as they get, and completely convinced she has no business being there. The feeling is almost mutual.
As they clash over everything from the menu to the opening hours, Lucy starts to suspect that the man who irritates her most is the one she can't stop thinking about.
She has put her money, her fresh start, and her heart into this diner. Falling for the wrong person could cost her all three.
The Corner Booth is clean, cozy, and completely addictive. This is Book 4 of 6 in the Diner on Main Street Series.
Trying to figure out what's going on in Noah's life is like trying to put together a giant jigsaw puzzle with all of the middle pieces missing. Two more books, two more weeks to wait for it all to get sorted out. Book four was interesting, but raised more questions with no answers. I am now invested in the story and have to see it through to the end, but I do hope it's a happy one.
This is a good story, but unfortunately it isn't finished. This isn't a book, it's just chapter four of the story. I guess I have to read the other books to see how it ends, which I will, because it's a good story. I really dislike books that make you buy more books to find out how they end. Which is why I rated this otherwise good story a two.
A mystery to reader's. This book started out as a second chance starting over or a due over career make-over. Little by little it's A full on mystery and it just gets more mysterious. There are a lot of questions unanswered that hopefully book 5 resolve. Enjoy
