Darkness returns. A prince must become a monster hunter. And evil never looked so beautiful.
On the cobblestone streets of a gaslit world, Prince Victor of the Onyx Kingdom receives devastating news: his younger brother, Prince Malcolm, has been slain by the Sonjah—ash-gray, beast-like creatures multiplying at a terrifying rate. Grief quickly hardens into purpose. Armed with his twin pistols, Jet and Jasper, Victor sets out to hunt down the ancient progenitor known only as the Father before the monster plague consumes the kingdoms.
But the hunt is never simple.
Alongside his formidable uncle Jericho and Fiona, a fierce assassin of the Cobra Clan, Victor forges uneasy alliances across rival kingdoms while following a trail of missing townsfolk, shadowy conspiracies, and creatures that kill without mercy. As the body count rises and enemies begin hiding behind familiar faces, he discovers a darkness far more dangerous than razor-sharp teeth and glowing red eyes.
Something sinister is moving behind the scenes. And at the center of it all may be a name whispered like a death sentence—Xabel Rosefyre, the Dark Dragon Sorceress.
Fortunately for the kingdoms, Prince Victor's pistols are loaded—and he never misses.
Fire and Silver is a blood-soaked gaslamp fantasy packed with monster hunts, political intrigue, and high-octane action. Think Peaky Blinders meets The Witcher—where Victorian grit collides with magic, werewolves, and a witch as deadly as she is beautiful. Fans of both will find themselves swept into a richly imagined world where the cost of power is carved in silver and scorched with fire.
Please note: Fire and Silver is intended for mature readers and contains graphic violence, strong language, and adult themes.
From start to finish, this was packed with action and danger. It was intense and gripping. I couldn’t out this one down. The world building was amazing, and the description was fantastic. I loved the characters, and hot read they all felt. I was so invested in this one, I felt like I was right there with them. Seriously captivating story..
This was an interesting read. The monster hunter aspects of the novel were fun to read. You feel for Victor almost immediately. His grief and the various betrayals that happen to him are what drives the story.
Though I enjoyed it, some of the story line was confusing because it jumped timelines without much warning. The prose was easy to read, though the descriptions could get repetitive.
All in all, if you like monster hunter type dark fantasy, this may be a book for you.

This fantasy novel is the beginning of a journey for Prince Victor, where he will have to battle evil witches, cult members and werewolves to save his kingdom. There are mages, elves, assassins and magic which make this fantasy worth the read. Can’t wait to see where book 2 will lead us next. This book was provided to me as an eARC
I kinda struggled to get into this one. was a bit slow and bit all over the place with who was who doing what. Dont think this was my cup of tea to be honest.
It just wasnt grippy enough for me to keep reading, sadly.
This book has non-stop, bone-breaking action from start to finish. I couldn't put it down! I highly recommend this one. The best characters are Fiona and Victor, in my opinion.
