This tale unfolds in the same Willow Creek town setting as the earlier installments in the series. Willow Creek is a pleasant, friendly town where neighbors help neighbors. For Eliza and Levi, neighborly has long since evolved into a partnership.

Eliza is a widow who staked a claim with her husband and stayed to work the land after he passed. Her neighbor, Levi, on the piece of land across the fence, naturally teams up with her. Their daily lives are a dance of tasks accomplished in perfect rhythm as they share risks, hardships, and successes together.

Then survey stakes appear on their land, interrupting the smooth management of their workdays. A new road is to be built — right through the property, necessitating changes in the placement of farm buildings and the layout of their operation.

At first, it seems an overwhelming challenge and not altogether welcome. But, like always, Eliza and Levi begin to plan the best way to adjust their landscape to the new road requirements.
Until one day it becomes clear that merging all the pieces of their lives into a shared future is what they both desire.

By Lantern Light is written with the main focus about a couple who are ALREADY together and in love (Eliza & Levi), so this book is already instantly different than Books 1 & 2, as they were all based around meeting someone and FALLING in love. It is a story of hope, quiet certainty, and a love chosen and lived.
I loved EVERYTHING about this book, it shows the comfort a couple slide into and routine being so happy together and knowing each other to the extent of sometimes 0 words need said or spoken they just know!! It melted my heart and I really shouldn't read Juliets work when I am emotional and hormone as I cried so much at the wholesomeness of this whole book ❤️❤️

This is another book with strong people dealing with difficult situations. They face problems together with out complaining and finding ways to work it out. Love grows quietly until it shines like the lantern light. If you like a good love story this book is for you.

The mmc s get along so smoothly it reminds me of my grandparents when they were alive. It was great.
