Románová prvotina Borise Razona vyvolala živé debaty: klíčů k tomu, jak ji číst, vnímat a chápat, bylo totiž víc a poměrně odlišných. Pro jedny se autor svým autobiografickým románem zařadil do sousedství Lewisovy Alenky v říši divů či Homérova Odyssea, jenž doputoval až na práh Hádovy říše, pro jiné patřil prostě k těm, kteří už měli nakročeno na „druhý břeh“ a jimž se klikatými cestami díky lékařům a medicíně podařilo najít cestu zpět a podat o tom svědectví. Razonova „pouť duše“ pod vodou, ve vzduchu, na lodi či na lanovce mezi ohňostrůjci, děvkami, povstalci, piráty, samozvanými ruskými doktory či jakýmisi Anupy, psy vyprovázejícími na věčnost, je obdivuhodným dobrodružstvím imaginace.

j'ai beaucoup aimé le roman mais je me suis senti ennuyé un peu au milieu,surtout quand il a parlé de ses rêves et ses hallucinations dans le coma c'était difficile à comprendre
Aussi, il y a beaucoup de vocabulaire médical alors c'est un peu difficile.

J'aime l'idée générale de roman qu'il peux donner du courage à d’autres qui se trouvent dans la même situation.

Il m'a donné des informations sur le monde de l'hôpital et l'univers imaginaire et comment les personnes dans le coma pensent, vivent et ressentent .. etc.

Was als gewöhnliche Leidensgeschichte mit der Schilderung des körperlichen Zerfalls beginnt, den Aufenthalt im Krankenhaus, damit verbundene Schamgefühle, das baufällige Gebäude und die außerordentliche Hitze jenes Sommers beschreibt, wird ab dem Moment, in dem der Autor "verrückt" wird zu einer Nacherzählung der subjektiv erlebten epischen inneren Abenteuer, was für die Leserin mit der Zeit ermüdend wird. Da helfen auch die dazwischengeschobenen Auszüge aus den Pflegeberichten nicht wirklich. Keine angenehme, aber eine außergewöhnliche und eindrucksvolle Lektüre!

I read 2/3 of this book and could get no further. I don't know how an author overcomes the challenge of writing an engaging novel about a paralyzed men on the verge of death lying in a hospital bed, written from the perspective of the paralyzed man. But Razon's book doesn't meet that challenge. Palladium primarily consists of long-winded descriptions of the main character's hallucinations while comatose.
