Charnan Simon has a pleasant tone, but clearly doesn't know what she's writing about. I can scratch off reading any of her other biographies. Two positives, a few cool pictures (I love historical pictures), and she validated my hesitation in reading about religions and people and completely buying the story.
I didn't go specifically looking for this book, but I stumbled upon it at the library and decided to give it a shot. What I found was a largely respectful biography of Brigham Young, his life, his personal character, etc. The author did a great job of conveying President Young's many good qualities and portrayed his life in as unbiased of a way as possible. Good biography.
