This was such a gripping and atmospheric novel set in the backdrop of the Pacific Northwest. It turned out to be a genre bender I didn’t want to put down. I loved the twists, the characters, and the ending and can’t wait to see what comes next for this author.

What a thrilling read! This was extremely well written, and the mystery kept me hooked throughout. I can’t believe this is a debut novel. The pacing was fabulous; I stayed up way too late on a weekday reading as I couldn’t put it down! I loved the perspective shift in chapters, with Ali and Mandy being the primary narrators, while still keeping a cohesive story. The PNW representation was strong, and I really enjoyed the imagery as a Seattleite myself. This was very well done- Tim’s legal background shines through to make this a compelling and fun read, centering themes of friendship, loyalty, and the inner realities of our justice system. Recommend!

I was referred this book by a friend and "wow." I was blown away. I haven't been reading much over the last few years but this book inspired me to get back into it. Very entertaining, emotional, thoughtful and I didn't want it to end!

I was engaged from start to finish in this incredibly well-written novel. It is a unique and original mix of a fictional crime story combined with a coming of age aspect that really brings out the emotions. This was the first book I've read from this author but I am very interested in more! 5 stars for sure.
