Originally published in 1980 in England, the author describes paper piecing as the "English" way to create quilts, and names the technique of machine sewing strips or shapes together to create a quilt top as "American" quilting, which is a bit strange.
Other than that, there's not a whole lot to interest me in this book, which includes an abbreviated history of quilting along with a brief description of how to start crafting your own quilts and several (uninteresting) projects to quilt/sew.
Oh, and of course the book includes a photo of a cat with one of the projects - because really, what's quilting without cats?
