My only beef with this book is that the stitches are numbered, without any of the common names give to them. Someone with more experience than me might be able to tell a broomstick stitch from a v-stitch, or a bobble stitch from a shell stitch, but I'm not at that level of skill yet.

Also, for some reason, the paperback version, which I own, doesn't have the color plates that I assume the hardcover has.

All in all, though, this is an excellent resource with clear instructions for hundreds of crochet stitches.
