This book is about a bunch of teenage kids that experienced the civil war in Rwanda in 1994, somehow these kids got lucky and were able to flee to other countries. What i personally like about this book is that it's not really a story written by an author. The book has stories written by people that have actually experienced the war. It was exciting to compare and contrast other people's experiences. Most of the stories written in this book are from students that have luckily escaped and made it to America and Canada. They tell us how much easier life is over seas, but they still want to go back home someday, when it is safe...
