The basic premise of this story line has been done. A lot. And I'm sorry to say, this particular box set just doesn't have anything exciting in it to mix it up and make it something I would read more than once. I would have thought, after reading the blurb, this would have been a story about Hugo wanting revenge on Cami, but that didn't really pan out. This is more of a second-chance romance story, but it left me feeling meh with the story. I really I wish I could have liked it more.
The premise of the story sounds really good which is why I agreed to review the book. However, it falls short as it is more of a novella. Very short. It takes no time at all to read. While the book is enjoyable, there is so much more that could have happened. The story is easily expandable and I'm not sure why the author didn't expound upon the opportunity. The story description steers readers towards revenge but there is little revenge in the book. What revenge is apparent is so mild you really can't called it payback. All in all, I did like the book and the writing was good but I wanted much more.
If you are in the mood for a short and sweet novel, try Hired.
Hired for Love is what the story is all about. Hugo and Cami were past lovers during high schools. They will meet again after long years of not seeing each other. Cami owns a Maid For Service. Hugo lives in a penthouse that needs a cleaning service. Their paths meet again and the romance rekindle. This book is slow, short but sweet. I want more of Hugo and Cami's love story. If you are looking for a short book to read, then HIRED is the perfect book for you.
