This is a field guide to 760 species of bird found in Nepal, which is one of the most popular trekking destinations in the world. It offers plates with text on facing pages for at-a-glance reference and covers identification, voice, habitat, altitudinal range, distribution and status.
As a guide, an incredible resource to learn the birds anywhere in Nepal! Been starting a little birding group in Chandragiri (southwestern Kathmandu), and this helped me learn the birds on my own so I could help guide the kids (Age 14-18). The informational section's not too great besides listing different forest types in Nepal, but the recommended treks/bird trips are very interesting! It's evident that this section attempted to be a summary of Inskipp and Sagar Baral's other book, and it would have been better if they had started by asking "what information is most essential for Birders?" instead. Regardless, I use it everyday and am incredibly grateful!
