It took me a long time to get started and really get into the magazine, and definitely took me a long time to finish reading it. On one hand, it is so good that I am saving the pages for next time. One the other, some essays are (again) quite hard to get into, especially the classics. Nonetheless, excellent curation of essays to the theme of Swindle and Fraud. Was surprised to see a piece from the Heptaméron by Margaret of Valois; didn't know she wrote because I would think that she is spending most of her life plotting against her brother and mother! And what a piece too. I foresee myself reaching for this magazine again to reread some of those which I find hard to read. This issue is a keeper.
ETA: The last essay is kind of lackluster.
