The Practice of Chinese Medicine is a comprehensive guide for acupuncturists and herbalists alike. The author, Giovanni Maciocia, has been teaching and practicing Chinese Medicine for decades, and his knowledge and passion shine through in every chapter.

Maciocia takes a holistic approach to treating disease, emphasizing the importance of understanding a patient's constitution and lifestyle factors in addition to their symptoms. His explanations of acupuncture and herbal prescriptions are clear and concise, making this book a great resource for both students and experienced practitioners.

However, one critique I have is that the book can be dense and overwhelming at times. The wealth of information presented can make it difficult to locate specific information quickly. That being said, for those willing to dive in and explore all that The Practice of Chinese Medicine has to offer, the rewards are well worth it.
