NOTES ON PACK TRANSPORT Issued, with amendments 1916 During the Great War, animals specifically horses were needed to transport heavy loads, and it was important that this was done in the safest possible way to avoid injury. This booklet instructs the way in which this should be done, from how to fit pack saddles, maximum weights to be carried and safe loading, to tables listing the weights of ammunition and camp equipment.
