This is one of the best travel books I've read. Besides giving practical information about hiking and site-seeing, it also tells about the history and geology of each park. It gives just enough information without bogging you down with too many details. Between each chapter are personal stories and anecdotes that the author's family experienced when they took this trip. Some are funny and others are deeply moving. So glad I read this book and I am looking forward to our trip to the Grand Circle!
