Rate this book
From award winning romance author Mary Jo Burke comes a romantic comedy that will leave you hungry for more...

Alexia Hale works as a test kitchen writer for the Chicago News. But she gets her big break toward reporting "real" news when she's given the opportunity to interview the world renowned artist, Benjamin Nance Cobb. The to get it, Alexia has to pose as a nude model for Ben. What begins as an awkward assignment quickly turns into a real friendship…and possibly more. But when a photograph of Alexia is leaked to the press, their private life suddenly becomes very public. Ben's father isn’t pleased, Alexia's sisters are shocked, and now she's being hounded by the press. Dating a celebrity has its challenges and rewards. The only question is, which one will outweigh the other?

"Mary Jo Burke is brilliant in creating an absolutely delightful tale complete with a little emotion...and a whole lot of love. I can’t wait to find more works from Mary Jo Burke."

COOKING UP TROUBLE

so this is a tale about alexia - who writes reviews and test recipes who is given an assignment way out of her comfort zone- she is to interview benjamin a famous artist who paints nudes and hates the press- and who is also fighting with his dad about his mother's inheritance -- now these 2- who have very little in common - should have never met- fallen in lust and love- gotten married and had a baby - but fate had a plan in mind--- this was a light romantic humorous read with a touch of mystery ( who is the man that says he is the girls uncle?) i enjoyed the way alexia and ben and their families all interacted together- i loved the sisters ( hopefully they will get their own stories) and i loved the fact that although alexia thought of herself as a hot mess- everyone else thought she was a beautiful talented creative lady-- why not 5 stars? well i felt the romance was jet speed- meet- date- move in- before the week was over? --- and some of the dialog went on and on and on-- and i felt the book just abruptly ended- but i did like the characters and would read another story with them in it- hint hint Mary Jo Burke

It was a cute book. I thought the end was great and the author didn't draw out the stalker angle.

I have just become a fan of Ms. Burke. This is the first of her books that I have had the great pleasure to read and it won't be the last, looking for the next one to order now. The Characters are larger than life and you just want the best for them and to know what comes next. She does have two sisters.... It is fast paced and hard to put down. enjoy.

I did not enjoy this one at all. It started it ok and then it went down hill from there. I was all too perfect. At about chapter 19 it was just horrible. I only finished it because I have a sickness. If I have started reading it I must finish it. Don't bother.
