Nanny for the Blind Alpha: A Fated Mates Grumpy Sunshine Fake Relationship Paranormal Romance

Rate this book
A Sunshine Clumsy Caregiver. A Grumpy Blind Alpha.
A fake resume that trapped me with a feral monster.
And a relationship built on lies that turned terrifyingly real.

DELILAH
I disguised my face and faked my age to escape a toxic ex, and a town that can't accept a nameless orphan.
I thought my new boss was a frail, blind hermit.
Wrong.
Grayson is a towering, disgraced wolf king.
He’s grumpy, demanding, and dangerously possessive.
He doesn’t just hire me—he legally binds me to his cabin 24/7.
I should be terrified.
Especially when the thunderstorm hits, the poison in his blood flares, and he completely loses control.
But when the beast drags me into the dark...
I realize this savage monster only calms down when I’m trembling right under him.
And the scariest part? I’m starting to crave his storm.

GRAYSON
Poisoned. Blinded. Exiled from my throne.
I chased away every pitying caretaker.
Until her.
She smells like wild honey, autumn, and pure temptation.
She thinks her lower voice and careful words will mask her racing heartbeat.
She thinks her little lies fool my heightened senses.
They don't.
Let her play her game.
My sight is gone, but my primal beast knows exactly what she is.
My fated mate.
And I’ll slaughter anyone who tries to take her from my den.

I didn’t expect this book to pull me in the way it did, but it completely stole my heart.

At its core, this is a tender, slow-burn love story wrapped in a paranormal world. The dynamic between the heroine and the blind alpha wolf shifter is what makes the story so special. Instead of the usual “powerful, untouchable alpha,” we get someone vulnerable, guarded, and deeply human despite his strength. His blindness isn’t used as a weakness, it becomes part of what makes him so compelling and layered.

The heroine is equally lovable. She’s patient, kind, and quietly strong, and the way she steps into his world—not to fix him, but to understand him, is beautifully done. Their connection builds in such a natural, gentle way that you can feel every moment of trust forming between them.

What really stood out to me was the emotional depth. This isn’t just about romance, it’s about healing, acceptance, and learning to see beyond what’s on the surface (which feels especially meaningful given his blindness). There’s a softness to the story that makes it incredibly comforting, while still delivering tension and heartfelt moments.

If you love paranormal romance but want something more emotional and character-driven, with a unique twist on the alpha trope, this is absolutely worth reading. Sweet, a little aching, and deeply satisfying.

Overly Long But Good

This story was very good but seemed to have more seeming endings than a Lord Of The Rings movie but that was only a minor deterrent in my opinion. Overall the story was well written with no discernible editing or continuity issues. It did (refreshingly) have some overtones of one of my favorite historical romances, Jane Eyre. That is one romance that has very seldom been done over in any genre though many others (ie, Pride and Prejudice) have been retold extensively. The male main character, Grayson, (reminded me much of Mr. Rochester) was strongly depicted as broken, blind and suffering. Orphan Delilah’s character was also well depicted though her background was somewhat hazy and not as extensively covered as Jane Eyre’s had been. She was depicted as an orphan but not much of her background was evident. But overall I guess enough was there to give her credibility. This was my first time reading this author and I would be willing to read more. Hopefully though the author won’t leave us hanging in the future over Delilah’s somewhat mysteriously depicted friend Celine. It would be great to read more of her relationship with the rival Blackridge Alpha who had shown an interest in her in this book.

Wolf shifter romance: MMC is an Alpha but was poisoned & now blind & cut off from wolf senses (though his hearing is still strong). FMC is human & needing to hide from the town that's bullied her for years so applies for job as his caretaker (lying about her age & background). He's definitely grumpy but she's not exactly sunshine, but she's tough & stubborn. Things develop but wolf/human mating is technically prohibited so not an easy resolution.
I do think the ending drags on a bit too long but I do like this pair.

The blind alpha

I loved reading about Lila and Grayson. Right from the off she comes through as a strong female presence, not taking any nonsense from other males especially when she was a waitress. I loved that she also took no nonsense from Grayson even when he was in pain. Their love story was lovely to read and when she was provoked at the Luna trial, she showed how strong she was. Highly recommend this book.

I devoured this book, and really enjoyed it. It seemed like it was a lot longer than the 270 pages it was, and felt like a slow-burn for a lot of the read. My only complaint is a minor character whose name kept being spelled differently: Hildah/Hilda. This book covers a lot of ground.

Head's up, the epilogue is not an epilogue, but rather a not from the author.

Delilah and Grayson were great in this. A blind alpha that lost his throne, and a care taker that’s running from an ex. The two come together in the most prefect way. Delilah was to good for Grayson. She was everything he needed and more. This was hot and steamy, and a great story.

Loved it

I loved Delilah's story and adventure in becoming Grayson's mate. They were both interesting characters to to get to know and read how it blossomed. Definitely a recommended read.

The story was strong but I just didn’t feel the connection as much with Grayson and Lila. I also found it predictable at times. A nice romance with a the werewolf story — Luna and Alpha issues as well.

Very cute! I really like these stories! I wish there was a little more action but the story is cute!! I would love to hear more about their kids and how it works with one human child.

Nanny for the Blind Alpha

I was disappointed I thought Delilah would be the daughter of the Rival pack. She was an orphan. But she proved to be a Luna.

It was a good story overall. A lot of repeating lines within a few paragraphs. Didn't feel like there was much proofreading. A lot of the story doesn't exist, like things would be said or happen but seemingly came from nowhere? There would be no lead up to a conversation that would be had. And some smut scenes that just existed to have smut and just made parts of the story drag on. I've downloaded the third in the series but I'm unsure if I will be reading it later. Taking a break from this series for a book or two.
