This book is a wonderfully whimsical middle grade book. It had the feel of an adventure book being set in a fairy tale. The author has a true talent with words and comedic timing. This is the kind of book that would make a great read aloud book for the family. We will definitely have this on our list this summer. The reading level feels very solid for 4-6th grade, but I think younger kids would enjoy the antics of the characters and the wordplay as well. Overall, a great read!
