I think this book is very useful for for a beginner or experienced gardener. It has wonderful photos that show the flower as well as the entire plant. It gives advise on when to sow seeds, when to transplant, what conditions the plant will grow best in, and what other plants it will complement. I recommend this book if you want to add annual flowers to your garden.

It would be excellent for the novice gardener; lots of pretty pictures, lots of basic information. And even for the experienced gardener in the dead of winter this is a consoling book: yes, Virginia, there is Springtime.
