~Book One~
Rory London inherits Happy Endings Resort from a long lost relative she didn't even know she had. At the age of 26, Rory has very little to show of her life. Alone in the world, the inheritance of this resort is all she has left. Or is it?
Jason Duke, Esq. is the attorney handling the Happy Endings Resort Estate. He is a handsome twenty-eight-year-old, part-time resident of Happy Endings Resort. He is also the keeper of some of the ghosts in Rory's family's closet.
When a dead body is found on the property, Rory assumes temporary ownership of the resort, in name only, and finds out more than she ever wanted to about a family she never knew she had. Can the blossoming relationship between Rory and Jason survive her family's secrets?
Jennifer is a devoted wife and mother to two rambunctious children that love keeping her on her toes. Her "real" job as a paralegal occupies the time she would rather be using to write, read, chat with her many author friends, or hang out with her family watching movies. Any free moment she has is devoted to helping spread the word for her indie author friends who lovingly call her 'the ninja' or writing her newest story. The Happy Endings Resort Series books are wonderful and fun to read. After starting with book 28 in the series, I decided to take my reading journey back to beginning and start again with book 1. By the end of the first chapter I was bit speechless from all of the dark family secrets that had been revealed. The story barreled on at full speed and by the end of chapter 7, I could not longer put the book down. I needed to know what was going to happen. I found the ending to be a bit unexpected in many ways, but I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
I loved this book! Loved it all....the story, the characters, the plot, the mystery, the humor, the steam (oh we love steam), and did I mention this whole book? What a great read! What great writing! Kudos Jennifer...kudos! Job well done!
Looking forward to what other stories will be told and what other characters will be brought to the Happy Ending Resort.

********** "I always wondered why an attorney needed a sofa in their office. Now I knew it was for reasons like this, when your attorney tells you that your grandmother was a madam and your mother wasn't actually your mother."
This story was definitely cute and funny. Rory London was dealt a bad hand in life. The secrets keep piling up right to the end. Happy Endings resort has all kinds of people: a resident psychic, a horny couple into threesomes and exhibitionism, a lawyer, a PI, a murderer and some of the nicest people ever. Add all of this together with a family you never knew existed and you get a great story.
Although the storyline is great and the editing superb, I really wish the author went into more detail and added more to this story. I found myself asking a lot of questions like "How did that happen?" And "Where are they now?"
Overall, I did enjoy the story and look forward to the next installment.
Wow...from the beginning to the end this story was one hell of a roller coaster ride.
Rory London may have led a boring and mundane lifestyle, but things begin to change quickly when she receives word of a recent inheritance.
Unsure of what decisions she should make, her world is flipped upside down as the past she once knew is revealed to be a vicious circle of deceit.
As soon as I thought I knew where the story was going....BOOM something crazy happens. I loved the storyline, the characters and the way this author kept me guessing.
I absolutely loved this entire story ! had me gripped from beginning to end! even know it was a short story it was so detailed and intriguing. I absolutely love Rory, and Stixx ! haha they made me laugh ! And I will recommend this book to all my book friends ! I just wanna say thankyou to Jennifer for giving me a free copy through a giveaway! also this story deserves every bit of 5 stars!
Loved this! Read in one sitting. I so did not see those twist coming. I'm still trying to wrap my head around them. I can't wait to read the next in the series.
This is the first book of Jennifer's I've read and it kept me turning the pages! There are lots of fun and sexy characters to get to know and there is even a murderer on the loose to keep track of. I spend my weekends in a lake side resort community, I can only imagine if these guys lived there ;) And now a bit about the story...
Rory had just arrived in Endings, South Carolina and learned she has inherited a resort just a mile from the ocean. The only problem is she doesn't understand why... She learns lots of secrets from her family's past, had a few shocks, and even has a murderer on the loose. Now who to trust - the charming lawyer, the sexy private eye, or the forgetful pothead - is the most important question!!
Favorite passages: - “I figured this would be better. I didn’t want you to think I was trying to take advantage or anything.” “So you brought me to a cabin in the woods instead?” - “Sometimes being the good guy sucks.” - “In my day, when you liked a woman, you told her so. This dancing around crap is for the birds. Take your pissing contest outside so these ladies don’t have to be subjected to your nonsense.”
Great story and beginning of the Happy Ending Resort series! This story has a little of everything. I do mean everything - humor, mystery, creepy, steamy scenes, twists, and interesting characters which makes you wonder where the other authors will take this series. They have a lot to work with and can pretty much go in any direction and still be tied to in to this book!
Rory has no family so when she receives a call about an inheritance she's confused, intrigued and left feeling a little bitter. When she shows up to find out what she inherited, she learns that while nothing is as it seems, somethings still don't change. She'll have to make several choices while coming to grips with everything she's learned.
I loved this book. This was a great start to this series. Full of suspense and intrigue. I loved the characters. Rory definitely has some spunk and quick witt. This one definitely has a few twisted and turns in it. I truly could not put it down. I promise anyone who reads this will not be disappointed.
I loved this book and this cute resort. The story starts to go one way then changes in an unexpected and fun way. Rory is funny and Jason and Drew are fun also. Loved Styxx and Cyber also. This was a fun small town book.
What a great beginning to what I think will be an interesting and unique series. Such a great group of characters! I hope we get to see more of Rory she seemed so lost and the community within the resort just took her in as one of their own. Can't wait for more!
Ok, total mind-fuck! I'm still trying to connect the dots just like Rory. Wow so far liking the series. Some of these characters are still questionable to me but let's she where they lead.
This was a great book. I loved all the suspense and couldn't wait to see where it was leading. and I wasn't disappointed, I was on the edge of my seat.
