Mental illness is getting talked about more and more everyday. Who are the people that have it? Where is the illness coming from? This true story of a schizophrenic takes you through 11 different psychotic episodes. Read today to go deep inside of a man's mind that has been constantly diagnosed with chronic schizophrenia.
A good book, a pretty quick read but definitely illuminating about what goes on in the mind of a schizophrenic. I have a friend that has it and it helps me to understand what she goes through. You can't tell a schizophrenic just by looking at them, my friend is perfectly benign in personality. The author makes a list of myths about schizophrenics at the end of the book, and they seem to be pretty accurate. Thank you Mr Steidler for having the courage to tell your story. Anything that helps me understand my fellow man, the struggles they go through in this life I am grateful for. Its always better to educate ones self, rather than resort to petty judgements when one hasn't walked in someone else's shoes. I would have given in 3.5 if it was available, but not as quite as high as a 4, which I don't give out very often. Would read this author again.
