Intense and gritty describes this book. Great story about a detective who cares enough to break the rules if it means getting the right result. The Author clearly brings his own experiences to the story and it paints a dark picture of lifes underbelly that most of us dont get to see. A thoroughly enjoyable read and I highly recommend it.

I believe this was the authors first book and it was a good start.
