Warning! This is not your everyday fall in love romance. This book contains disturbing situations, strong language, graphic, sexual content - some forced, some not. If it's a happily ever after love story that you are looking for, you should probably move on. If you are up for the ride, stick around and it may just turn into a love story after all.
Underestimated Too
Money is not the most important thing in the world; love is - so they say anyway. Fortunately, Drew loves money. He wasn’t capable of loving anything else. The more money he made, the more he needed to make. Always chasing a deal, that was the most important thing in the world to him.
You rode Morgan’s side of the tracks. Now ride Drew’s. You know the things she went through, things nobody should go through. Is Drew sorry for his part in that? Probably not. He’s not sure things would have turned out the way they did had he been the cute little husband the critics expected him to be. He did do things that hurt her and regretted a lot of his choices, but he tortured himself, wanting to do them still.
You think you know Drew? You don’t know squat. You know what his wife has told you. She couldn't tell you more than that, she doesn't know that part of Drew. You want a sappy cliché romance? Move on, this isn't the story for you. You want all the gruesome details? Stick around, and then you can judge Drew.
An Underestimated Christmas
Although this next book takes place over Christmas, it's way more than a Christmas story. Hang on...
For all of those who are wondering what Morgan and Drew are up to these days, this is for you. You followed Morgan through her life of pain and then happiness in Underestimated. You followed Drew through Underestimated Too with his own trials and tribulations where he too found happiness in the end. Now read along with An Underestimated Christmas to find out if the happiness is still going strong. We pick up the story with Nicholas being nearly five and Wes being three. How do Morgan and Drew handle everyday life with a family? Will this Christmas be the best one ever, or the last? Never underestimate the ability to lose it all.
I am a story teller, a life coach, and sometimes a little crazy. I’m at an amazing time in my life where doors are opening, adventures are happening, and new friends are being made. Life is fun and I want to share that joy with the world. I’m Jettie and I am unapolgetically me. "I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I'm out of control, and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best." Marilyn Monroe
I loved this boxed set!! Very raw, very real subject matter. It dealt with rape, addictions, broken imperfect people, it had it all! Such great unforgettable characters. I love your mind Jettie, and would read anything you write. It kept me entertained for three days, just couldn't put my iPad down. I would so recommend this boxed set to others.
Heartbreaking....Does an abuser ever change their spots?!?!
I've read all 3 books in this box set. To say it was a difficult read would new an understatement. These books deal with a very real subject matter. The first book was hard to read. It is a very dark, dark read. Definitely not for the faint of heart. I cried for Morgan so many times. I couldn't believe what he did to her. Drew was a monster. There is no other word for him. He put Morgan through hell. No wonder she ran. She literally would of been dead if she didn't. "Riley" was born after that. She tried to take her life back. What do you do when you never had a life to begin with? How would you cope? How would you live? She met that lovable sheriff. He tried, she tried! It was never enough! I wish more closure happened with the characters from Maine. They were there, then they were gone. I could not fathom Morgan (Riley) taking Drew back. He is an abuser. Book 2-- is it all rainbows and unicorns for this couple. Hell no! It's still pretty messed up! I did like getting Drew's back story in this book. He still is the same abuser from book 1. Morgan is his enabler throughout the entire story. Even with all the counseling, Morgan truly did not get any help with her issues. She had horrific things happen to her. It's about Drew...It's always about Drew. What are his needs and his wants! I wanted to smack him so many times! I truly wanted to see a conversation (at least) between Morgan and Sklyar (what a good Stripper name btw! Lol) Morgan needed to fight for her man. It doesn't happen though. Wishful thinking! I still was on the fence regard Drew by the end of book 2. It's hard to read about the spousal abuse. He almost killed her! I didn't know what to expect by book 3. It appears the overt spousal abuse has stopped, but some of the perceived punishments that Drew doles out to Morgan is still abuse! I don't think they even realize it until the end of the book! I can't believe they ended up together! Blows my mind! Read this series! The author draws you in with the writing. It was very well done! Recommend highly for a dark read that has some ugly cries with it!
I never expected Morgan would go the route of drugs to cope. Morgan and Drew's story is an example of what couples go through to fight to stay together. The beginning of the story was not what I expected of Drew and Morgan. I would read this story again and again! Drew and Morgan made you want to fight for them to stay together!
Here are my reviews of all three books in the underestimated series.
Underestimated This was one of my first books by Jettie. I was on the edge of my seat the entire book! I could not put it down! It was so addictive and Morgan and Drew sucked me into their story like no other book I have read before. I had so many emotions going through me at one time it was unreal! Starting out, I had no idea what was going on with Morgan. And when that part of her life was revealed I was shocked and utterly heartbroken. I will say when I first met Drew I hated him! But as the story continued on, I fell in love with him and he is now my all time favorite book boyfriends. Be prepared when reading this book! You will be happy one second then the next you will be screaming at your kindle! I loved this book and I highly recommend buying it!!
Underestimated Two This one by Jettie will have you on an emotional rollercoaster. I couldn't get enough of Morgan and drew's story! Their love is one epic story and I already want to re-read it!! If you haven't downloaded it yet then do it now! Must read!!
An Underestimated Christmas Once again Jettie has done it again! I loved Drew and Morgan from the first book Underestimated. I loved watching them grow as a couple. In this book I had to sit on my review for a day or so. There was just to many emotions running through me and I wanted to make sure I got this review right, and not saying how much I was mad at the time. Lets start with Drew. I fell in love with Drew all over again in this book. Yes he was still dealing with some issues but who could blame him? I think Drew will always have to deal with his problems. He was a certain way for so long, and although you can change, you can't ever erase those feelings he has. Now Morgan. I have to admit that Morgan was always my favorite characters in the first two books. In this one, I did love her to death, and I do understand why she did what she did. BUT I will not lie and say that I didnt get angry or frustrated with her. I felt she created more problems by not letting go. I wont get into it a lot cause i want you to read the book and find out yourself what i mean. overall i did love this one. i am sad to see Drew and Morgan's story end, but I am glad it is. It ended perfectly! this was one hell of a ride and jettie brought out so many emotions from me in this book. Its an awesome gift to be able to write a book and make a reader feel that way. Highly recommend this book, and i promise you will not be disappointed.
Overall this series is one of my all time favorites. I have never missed a book couple before until now and I see myself rereading this series over and over again!
Wow, this is one difficult series. Not for the faint of heart. As one other reviewer said it well, this couple really stressed me out. I found that I was strung out after reading...but I had to see how Jettie pulled it all together. There are some twists that are completely unexpected. Just finished about 30 minutes ago and I'm exhausted, but I will miss Morgan and Drew.
Loved this messed up tale of love and betrayal of the worst kind. Yes there were times you wanted to strangle everyone. And wanted to hurry it along but it was well written and thought out. Morgan and Drew had that same banter as another one of my favorite couples...Tate & Kane aka Satan but like them as well love and happiness does preveil it just takes a while.
Holy moses what an emotional rollercoaster this book took me on I don't even no what to say it was absolutey amazing has to be one of the best book I haveer read
I absolutely loved the story. I do want to notate that there are several grammatical and spelling errors; however, if you can look beyond them it's a great story.
This isn’t your hearts and flowers kind of romance story. Jettie Woodruff has ripped the proverbial band-aid off of traditional romances and delivered a messy, bloody kind of relationship. Drew and Morgan’s marriage is far from fairytale and lingers more on the side of hellish nightmare side of the romance scale. Just when you think that Morgan’s life will have some semblance of normalcy… it’s gone. The dark twists and turns in this book will leave you on your toes and wanting to strangle various characters as it unfolds. There were so many times I felt murderous toward both of these characters as I was reading, but by the end of the book, I was okay with some of plot lines that transpired and with certain characters. It’s been a long time since a dark romance story pulled me in like Underestimated and I can’t wait to read more.
Underestimated Too
Underestimated Too shatters the thinly built patch on Morgan and Drew’s romantic entanglements. Drew’s past comes to light and the darkness hidden away amongst the painful memories are enough to scar you for life while bawling your eyes out for these fictional characters. I understood Drew so much more as I finished this book and felt his fear and pain. Morgan’s attempt to help him through his fucked up past only leads to more issues in their marriage. There were so many times I literally screamed at my kindle for Morgan to run or wiped away tears from the screen for Drew’s life. Even the next morning, I was so emotionally drained that I had to wait hours before diving into the last book. Jettie has taken the dark horrors from Underestimated and magnified them times 1,000,000 in Underestimated Too. My heart still hurts from reading it.
An Underestimated Christmas
If you’ve read my other two reviews, then you know that Jettie Woodruff isn’t about to give us a very Merry Underestimated Christmas. Drew and Morgan are facing a foe this time that lingered hidden in the darkness. Morgan takes the focus on this story as the person who is fucking up their marriage, but Drew will never be prefect and adds to the issues as well. I will say that Jettie has broached a topic that many families fight about when it comes to the health of their children. I applaud her interjecting this plot line into her novel and giving readers the chance to see that people afflicted by this disorder can still live normal lives and be happy adults. As I turned the last page on the Morgan and Drew saga to date, it was a bittersweet goodbye. I hope that in the future Drew and Morgan make a re-appearance!
Wow, this was a very emotional three books. The first book, we see businessman Drew. He is a man that you just can't like, who treats our heroine horrible. Morgan is a naive 18 year old from the a nothing place. She hasn't been treated well by her family, and is sold to Drew by her father. You really feel for her, wanting things to work out for her. After a long time she does manage to get away and even meets someone and falls in love. But then something happens to her, and she's back without her memories. Then it starts to shift, and Drew becomes a person you want her to pick. There's a back and forth through the rest of the books, and by the end of the last story, I had started to root for Drew instead of Morgan. Overall, it was a very difficult and emotional read at times. You definitely need an open mind.
I'm not slamming the author with this 2 star review. From what I read of books 1 and 2, it was a compelling story and the author did a good job immersing the reader in the world she created.
My problem was that the drama was too painful for me to read. I know bad things happen to good people all the time and that females are vulnerable as the "weaker" sex, but the things that happened to Morgan were just too traumatic for me to continue reading. I read book 1 at bedtime and it carried over into my dreams. That was not a pleasant experience. I read as a form of escapism/relaxation. This series was too real for me.
Moral of this review: The next time the author issues a warning about the dark nature of the series, I will pay attention!
While reading it and now that I'm done reading it, I'm so confused about how I feel about this book. The relationship between Morgan and Drew stressed me out and I wasn't even in it. At times, I really thought Drew would get it together and at other times I was like Olaf from Frozen whispering, "Why aren't you running?" This was such a twisted romance and love story that I hated to root for it, but found myself having a shred of hope, even at the worst parts of the story. This was a long read. I had already read a lot and then swiped my thumb on my phone to read "Volume 2". WHAT? But I couldn't put it down until I knew how everything turned out.
The ratings of this series of books is what drew me in, however, this story is not for me. I really couldn't get a handle on what the story was about to begin with, it was slow and obscure. Then when details of Morgan's marriage (which you cannot really call marriage) began to be told, I really turned off.
I have read plenty of 'dark romances' but this is nowhere as well written and compelling as those. There is nothing that draws you in. I tried to keep reading, but as the sex descriptions became more brutal, I gave up.
Others will disagree with my assessment, that's fine, that's why it is still a free world for many of us.
This was definitely a rolercoaster of hate and love, I there are so many reasons I should hate it but I loved the way the author explained things with so much detail to try and understand these two characters. Never a dull moment, give it a chance you will love it even if you don't agree and what goes down

I certainly underestimated this box set it was an amazing read with lots of twists I could not put it down it was dark at times and touched on some very taboo subjects but was well written and handled in a sensitive manner I would definitely recommend it and will now be looking for more books by this author
One Hell of a Ride One of the best dysfunctional and disturbing love stories. I love how u really never know what is going to take place. The hate love relationship was incredible. This book was so intense. I loved how you understand the characters foundation. A truly complex story that had a hell of an ending! My favorite couple.
This has to be one of my favourite series. Love Jetties writing style and all three books pull you in and never let you go. It's one hell of a roller coaster ride and introduces you to all the complicated facets of Drew and Morgan's relationship. If you haven't read it, you need to.
Wow! I love this book! Everything about it is good, the story, the writing, the pace. I think I felt every emotion while reading about Morgan and Drew's story. It was dark, romantic, funny, sad, depressing and kept me entertained. I will definitely read more from Mrs. Woodruff.
When I started this series,I knew I was going to just hate Drew. I went back and forth between hate and love for him. By the end all I wanted was Morgan to have a HEA and I was ecstatic when she got it. Then the Christmas story blew me away. Loved this story.
